Hey gang,
First and foremost, I had a wonderful time getting to speak with the directors of the Good News Organization. As far as I can tell, they’re doing great work. Please consider supporting them here: https://www.goodnewsorganization.com/en?en
Secondly, if you (for some reason) appreciate my stupid content and want to chip in to support it, you can do so at Patreon.com/Heliocentric. I’ll be hosting an exclusive Q&A about my time in Egypt there soon, so hurry over and ask your questions.

I'm Egyptian Muslim, grew up in Alexandria in my family home between couple of huge church and many Coptic niegbors, miss our next door Coptic neighbors and how they took care of me and my sister when my mom was sick, and how we send food to each others in Ramadan and holidays, 35 years later my mom passed away and I still call them and they call us

Im Egyptian Christian, thank you for visiting our churches ❤️

Bro I grew up Muslim and my family is from Egypt and I have been a catechumen at a Coptic Church since July.. I get baptized next month in January this makes me so happy you experienced this!

Im sure St Anthony didnt mimd that he could be a friendly shoulder to rest for a tired soul. I'd like to imagine that he would have found it wholesome.

not gonna lie, I'm Anglican.  I love Orthodoxy.  I have no issue with Catholics. BUT, if I had to choose one branch of Christianity that felt the MOST Christ-like, that seemed to portray the essence of the Gospel more than any other.. without doubt, it would be Coptic Christianity.  I've never met any Christians more sincere, devout, loving and warm than Coptic Christians.

I am a Brazilian who studies Coptic independently and, despite the issue of living very far from a Coptic church, I keep on learning and praying every day. Coptic people are the most welcoming. I plan on getting baptized soon in order to officially call myself a converted Copt.

Hey Jared, as a Copt I wanna explain a little bit on veneration of relics and shrines of saints. We view saints as our friends, fathers, brothers and sisters that have come before us whether 2000 years ago or 20 years ago. they have fought the good fight and finished the race that we are all running towards God. So just like we are very comfortable with people who are alive in the world now by hugging and kissing each other, the same goes for the saints who we believe are alive in Christ. We say hi to them, kiss their relics and speak to them. We fundamentally believe they are more alive than we are because our God is the God of the living!!

These people truly live Christ, us western Christians can truly learn a lot from our Coptic brothers.

As an Eastern Orthodox, I find the division between us and the Copts and other Orientals more tragic even than the division between East and West, because we remain so close in practice and faith. And I admire the Coptic church for its witness of martyrdom and streadfastness even in our times. I'm happy for you to have had this experience. Thanks for sharing it for our edification.

abuna means "our father" which is more wholesome than just father

I’m an EO who is currently driving an OO’s car, because my car broke down.

I love my Habibi ❤

I’m a firm Roman Catholic, but I also love learning about the church in other areas of the world. Pray for a united Church under God. ✝️

American Coptic Orthodox convert here. So excited for this video!!

I was protestant for years and now I am baptized Coptic Orthodox. Glory to God for your journey!! God bless you ☦️🙏🏾❤️.

I'm catholic but all Christians have or should have a soft spot and admiration for the Copts, for their faithfulness. Myself, in particular, gained huge admiration after I learned about the apparition of Zeitoun. If the Blessed Virgin honours the Copts, I'll honour them too.

The neatest thing to me about Copts is that their liturgy is basically the last place that has kept the Egyptian language alive.

I have the icon for the 21 martyrs. It was one of the worst things that we ever experienced, and I’m eastern orthodox. We don’t care they were still orthodox people who died for their faith.

Hell. This is the best "Come to Christianity" video I've ever seen. The entire video had me going... "WOW. If only the Christians I knew were like this..."

I love that the pyramids, which are hyped to no end, were something of a forgettable experience whereas the 3AM liturgies are what captivated you.

The OO’s are 🔥
