Sterling, you're slowly morphing into Chris Cornell. Wholesome af

I love the kind of teachers that say the ugliest truth as rough as possible so you get them, in the end they're just doing their best so you notice the wall you're hitting over and over cuz we're all stubborn at some point during the process of learning

man, the depth where you speak from touches the soul. most of the things you talked about were same insights that I've had during the past years exploring sound, singing and nada yoga. identity shapes voice. absolutely. and moving from surface "authenticity" to a deeper soul-aligned authenticity that feels real and true every moment and letting voice come through that effortlessly like wind through you. thank you, your teaching goes way deeper than just singing.

You are helping us amateurs more than you know! Thank you!

I had several vocal teachers. The best was an opera director (although I wasn't learning opera, it was just her background), and it took about 3 months before we moved on from resonance to pitch accuracy. (Yes, we did resonance before pitch; her argument was that you can't sing the correct pitch without resonance because the wrong frequencies will be emphasized or de-emphasized.) So definitely, as Sterling said, stick with one teacher, but try not to skip from one video topic to the next every day.

You're very easy to listen to. I love the humor. Love the advice
