Have You Heard What REALLY Happened to Craig Adams?

Craig Adams rarely chased the spotlight, yet his bass became part of some of the most recognizable sounds to emerge from Britain’s post-punk underground. From the early years of The Sisters of Mercy to the bitter split that eventually led him and Wayne Hussey toward The Mission, Adams repeatedly found himself at the center of bands undergoing dramatic change. This video explores what really happened to Craig Adams, from the dark clubs of Leeds to international success, fractured lineups, unexpected departures, and a career that extended far beyond one famous band.

Adams’ story is defined less by celebrity than by movement. After The Sisters of Mercy and The Mission, he carried his distinctive bass style into The Cult, The Alarm, and other projects before eventually reconnecting with the musical world he had helped build decades earlier. Friendships changed, bands broke apart and returned, but Adams remained the kind of musician whose presence could transform a group without demanding attention for himself. What really happened to Craig Adams is about a bassist who quietly connected several chapters of British alternative rock while letting the music speak louder than his public image.
