I love how Reaper is literally steaming inside his head when Mauga ran off to do his own thing.  Must have gave the man flashbacks of Rein-charge PTSD back in the day.

Love how they put him in a shirt. They weren’t about to animate him with all those tattoos

“What is he doing!”
“Not sticking around.”

Ah, it’s nice to see Talon has the same tank problem as everybody else.

0:32 Right. Because when you want a clandestine operation - clean, surgical, and precise, you should totally send in the 7 ft tall, 400 pound Samoan dude with dual miniguns and a mirth-filled laugh you can hear from a city block away, lol.

He may act like a brute but there is a genius in that madness.

Mauga leaving his team behind, a true tank move

At this point, I’m convinced these shorts are just experimental animated films to convince Activision to make a Netflix series. This one is a banger.

I like when Sombra said we are here to “grab the data,” he took that literally lol

Mauga running away from the OBJ giggling is such a tank mood. Been there too many times as hammerman.

I love that Sombra's hotkey for her Translocator is the sassy wave from her short lol

I really like Reaper in this one. He's showing signs of humanity - like when he chooses to not shoot Mauga, or orders Sombra to escape from danger, even though they didn't get the data. Maybe it's just cold logic, but I like to think he has empathy still.

we can blame Mauga for breaking Sombra's translocator for her new abilities in game, that's a nice touch

Anyone else notice how Sombra's placed Translocator breaking and then her throwing it is basically canon to her recent rework. Little detail, but awesome inclusion!

Mauga: I went for a walk

Sombra: you blew up an entire null sector ship!!

Mauga: I take very enthusiastic walks

bro does the smartest things in the stupidest ways

The "villains" being just as interesting and fleshed out as the heroes is giving me "Saturday morning cartoons" vibes, in a very GOOD way.

I absolutely love how at first glance they made Mauga seem like a "meat-head" and muscles-only type of guy, but the truth is he is very calculative and cunning no less and sometimes even more than everyone else around him.
He just loves doing the things his way, and most importantly, to have fun with it 😁

Mauga is probably the biggest gigachad in overwatch while still being a goofball. Top tier character.

I love how they made Mauga really violent but not a dumb meathead. He's smart and clever and that makes him even more dangerous.

I love how they assumed Mauga sabotaged the mission, when he really ensured its success, single-handed. Plus that grin Sombra gave him as he left? He definitely left an impression on her
