I have a colony of cats in the worst county in the country for strays. I buy kibble but I cant afford the crazy ridiculous prices for premium kibble and even wet food going way up. I buy chicken thigh when on sale and stock up. When lucky 99 cent or 1.49 a pound I get a big pot add the entire pkg with only about 1/3 filled pot of water. Boil on very low. At lowest it takes a about 2-3 hours. Drain, remove bones and mix with a cans of pate to bulk it up. Done. When one can of cat food starts costing as much or more than a pound of meat. The pet food industry needs serious reform. If lacking time or nothing on sale I put a can of mackerel and a can of sardines mixed with 3 5.5 oz cans of pate. They get dry but every evening they get wet with real meat protein.

Tractor Supply has good prices on cat food. Amazing choices and TS itself has godd options . My cat is very healthy. He’s a big boy( always has been) and he loves his TS dry kibble which is high protein.

I buy chicken hearts and chicken gizzards at grocery store and cook in crockpot in water. I grind up the meat and freeze 3 day portions. Then I freeze portions of the watery cooking broth to put on their wet food or even on kibble. No salt, garlic, spices used ever on cooking it. I will get one of the kibbles brands mentioned here also. We love our kitties! Thks so much!! I’m subscribed. Ahna 😸😸😸

Thank you for your information. I have 46 rescued animals

I had a cat that lasted to live in his early 20s and he only ate what i could afford. He loved his dry food along with wet every now and then. I have had a lot of cats in my years and have 12 right now. What i do is give wets in am and dries are left out all day and night so they help themselves. Works for me and them. I am sure they are adding more poison to pet food like they are doing to ours. Just saying. The best thing to give cats is attention and love.

I appreciate the info in this video. It's sad that pet food is so ridiculously overpriced - even good quality cat food should not cost over $10/lb given that I can buy a lb of chicken for $2.49.

I feed my senior cat Dr.Elsey's because he likes it so much-- when I fed him wet food he was unenthusiastic about his food and slightly underweight .

Love this review video! JUST TRY CAT FOOD fits exactly what he was describing—high animal protein, no mystery ingredients, no carbs fillers. My cat was a dry food addict who wouldn't touch anything else, and she finally found her match. She picks out the freeze-dried bits first, then crunches through the donut-shaped kibbles. The meat floss powder on every piece makes the whole bowl smell like actual chicken instead of processed junk.

I tried a few foods from this list. The constant was Just Try Cat Grass Treats every day. Thats what really helped her digestion.

Hint, you can buy cans of chicken (in water) for the same price or less then cat food. Mix it with Sardine and boiled egg with your Tikki cat food (or other brands) and you are good to go! Great video. Excellent guide.

I only hive my cat maybe 1/8-1/4 cup dry as a lunch Breakfast & diner as real chicken.turkey sometimes mix with 3 oz of wet & do add some water. Mix . PET FOOD IS WAY OVER PRICED ! Easy to make your own . No raw.No. It’s not the same as cats eating fresh kill or non processed.
Great easy recipes online by Joanna Trautman. Also Taurine cats need get from A natural grocer store. I make a huge batch than vacuum seal, keep in freezer as daily servings. Way less costly, healthy. Tip if your cat isn’t drinking enough water sometimes I’ll add water to the food making it soupy.have a Soup day, they lick it up.

My cat licks the sauce and leaves the meat. I give the meat to a stray. I love my cat and worry about her getting enough protein.

I’ve been feeding my two three year old kitties Dr. Elsey’s dry food for their entire lives… they aren’t interested in wet foods, surprisingly.

I’m thrilled to learn this info in this video. I look forward to utilizing your other video info also! 😸😸😸😸. Ahna

my cat is getting pickier and pickier, so I finally tried Dr. Elsey's. She didn't eat it at first, but after a few days she did. Her stools got softer and softer and finally ended in diarrhea. Now I'm back to searching.

My buddy refuses wet food. He will not eat it. He has a favorite dry food and loves it. He also drinks a lot of water. Up to a half cup a day. (24 hours.. not a work day) I keep close tabs on his water intake because of kidney concerns and the fact he only eats dry. I’ve told my vet this, and while she’s not overly concerned .. she DOES want me to slowly introduce wet again.. because she says once he’s older he may very well have to go on a wet plan. As for his current water intake.. we are happy with the volume and his kidney functions are good
