- Sir, you are a coward and a scoundrel. I challenge you to a duel.
- I won’t come.
- But why?
- Because I am a coward and a scoundrel.

In order to make the most authentic recreation of a duel, they used actual lead bullets and two people died in the making of this video. All survivors suffered hearing loss.

For a moment I was expecting the usual fully armored knight to show up and start beat the s*** out of both duelists

Dequitem's successors in 2116: video on realistic early 2000's drive-by shooting

"Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbour's dog."

A duel with over 100% fatality rate, nice

The anticipation, the line of pistols to chose from, the witnesses..... the whole vibe was immaculate

Imagine if these guys made historical movies instead of Hollywood. These 4 minutes were more interesting than most movies in their entirety. Great job.

That's a rough day

Historical Consultant and actor from this video here: Thank you, for letting me take part in this. It was a wonderful experience and I really hope, that I could be take part in more projects of you.

Interestingly these were held at dawn
1. For privacy and fewer witnesses
2. To allow for tempers to cool, to allow for reconciliation so that a duel wasn’t necessary

Great video! Thoroughly enjoyed and felt as if I was in the 1800s!

Arbiter: Sword or Pistol?
1st duelist: Sword!
2nd duelist: Gut. Dann nehme ich die Pistole.

That's pretty cool! Not that I am tired of the medieval fights (I love them so much lol) but this is so refreshing!

I wasn't expecting that ending but I also can totally see it happening in a situation like this

it's crazy how authentic these films are, the whole vibe is on point

I like how the side characters are just there as historical background flavor for the main characters. But when we see the pistol after shot one, our focus immediately flips for the second shot. That's really cool

I see this with all earnestness, we are so lucky to have you. Your dedication to bringing his historical moments to life is unparalleled thank you as always such a great video.

"Had he not been killed in a duel, which arose over the purchases of some horses."

fella was worried the second his opponent said "pistolen!"

The most realistic part of this duel was how fast the thin veil of chivalry and humility gave way to pettiness and revenge.
