We'll be walking through Kamata, Tokyo's quintessential bar district.
Located on the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, the Tokyu Ikegami Line, and the Tamagawa Line, Keikyu Kamata Station is just a short walk away. Known for being home to Haneda Airport, Japan's air gateway, Kamata is a key transportation hub in southern Tokyo.
Originating from its history as a thriving industrial district, the area is home to a deep-rooted culture of affordable, delicious bars that have sustained the hearts and stomachs of its working people. It's also known as "the town of gyoza" and a "hot spot for tonkatsu."
Today, we'll be introducing a ranking of Kamata's finest restaurants, from long-established establishments beloved for over half a century to local Chinese restaurants and "senbero" (cheap drinking) spots.
This article is sure to make your bar-hopping in Kamata even more enjoyable. Be sure to read to the end.

★Reason for selection
Nayu Shiomi, a writer who has worked exclusively in the izakaya and alcohol industry for 10 years, has interviewed over 10,000 establishments and selected the restaurants she believes will leave her customers satisfied.
For presentation purposes, the establishments have been numbered, but this is based on Shiomi's personal taste. Everyone has their own preferences for restaurants, and there's no intention to disparage the great establishments that each viewer considers to be their own favorites.
[Examples]
A restaurant that's a source of family memories for the locals.
A restaurant that's worth taking the train to visit.
A restaurant that's become a city landmark.
A restaurant with a long history.
The birthplace or founding location of the restaurant.
A restaurant with a special appeal (something you can only get there).
*I think that for izakayas and local Chinese restaurants, the background and atmosphere are important factors, not just the taste and price.
*This is my personal opinion. All of the restaurants, including those not mentioned, are excellent.
★Range
From the Kamata Station area to Keikyu-Kamata Station
★Note
This video does not guarantee the opening hours, prices, or menus of the restaurants featured.
Recently, prices have fluctuated significantly, and prices may change immediately after being featured. Therefore, I have intentionally refrained from mentioning food and drink prices.
