What kind of apology is this? An apology loses its meaning when the same behaviour that caused the conflict continues to be displayed afterward.

Even more concerning is seeing people who are aware of that behaviour continue to defend and encourage it, simply because they choose to overlook the very issues that caused the fallout in the first place.

It is a reminder of how complicated human relationships can be—sometimes people will condemn certain behaviour in one situation, yet tolerate or even support the same behaviour when it comes from someone they favour.

Absence of evidence is not, by itself, evidence of absence.
