Book Number 7
20,178 views
On one afternoon in September 2023 in a board meeting. Nine people sat around a table. They were supposed to talk about programs and budgets and how to help kids in poor neighborhoods learn and grow. But something felt wrong. The numbers didn't add up. Money was missing. Not a little money, hundreds of thousands of dollars. Hmm!
And that's when they realized that the woman who had founded the organization, the celebrated professor they had all trusted, had stolen—it—all. Her name was Dr. Nkechy Ezeh and she had built an empire by claiming to care about vulnerable children. But while she was accepting awards and being named Woman of the Year, she was systematically stealing from the very children she claimed to serve. Hmm!
This is the story of how a very respected Nigerian woman in Michigan, USA, was arrested by the FBI for stealing nearly $2 Million!
