A paper map, a city map in the glove compartment, and a few minutes of napping by the roadside, while routes without navigation could take up to thirty-six hours. Mr. Adam has lived in Ostrowina since 1967, and in the third episode of the "Świat PGR" series, he talks about his work as a driver and the daily life of a rural farm.
He recalls his youth, trips to the beach, and evenings when the entire village would gather around one television to watch "Kobra Theater of Sensation." He also discusses the self-sufficiency of the residents during the era of empty store shelves and the realities of farm work.
Mr. Adam also recounts numerous, sometimes humorous, anecdotes from his years as a driver. Stories about transporting barrels of spirits and being laid off overnight reveal the realities of work and everyday life in that era.
The interview is conducted by journalist Jakub Czubak, who visits the region's residents in their homes, documenting and archiving their memories and personal testimonies.
Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage as part of the "Social Heritage" program run by the Social Archiving Center.
