I've listened to this SOS song by dimash I would say now 100 + times and I don't know.... it always seems or feels just like it's my first time hearing him sing. . I don't know what to do

"Oh, come on!"  Yes, that's what we all thought when we first heard him.  Welcome to the club.

His style is crossover...neoclassical or popera.  Dimash is 24 years old and is from Kazakhstan.  In this video he was performing in Singer 2017, a tv show in China for professional singers.  He was invited as a wild card, and was the first person to sing on the show ( since he was competing against established, very popular Chinese and Asian singers and was not expected to do well). He gained instant popularity in China with this song and has over 6 million followers in China, plus many fans in other countries.  He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, but sings in many different languages, composes music, and is a multi instrumentalist.  Very talented but humble  guy.  Love him!

some say he sounded like a violin while some people say  dimash sounded like a flute and now he sounded like a piano. dimash is the only singer in this earth who has complete musical intruments built in his lungs!

Every time I  hear this song, I  transcend to another better place.

He's blowing the minds of all the vocal coaches - everywhere. His mother is an opera singer and Father is a musician. Dimash is classically trained and is training to this day.  He has an 8-octave range hitting notes that are off the scale.

You only scratched the surface and it's no joke, he has a 6 octave range up to  a D8 whistle, he's classically trained since age 5 having developed a unique style mixing pop with opera, traditional singing styles and even rap. Great reaction - hope you will continue.

The first time I heard Dimash sing I thought it was fake.  Now I am a full-blown Dear! ❤️

His transitions between chest, head and falsetto are seamless. No breaks. What impresses me more than anything is the depth and richness of his chest voice. To have such beauty at the far reaches of his incredible range seems to defy physics.

What would life be,without music.What would life,and music,be without dimash.Love button.

This Voice in China contest is for Chinese performers only. A foreigner had never been there before. Dimash was invited by the organizers to participate and long negotiations took place. Eventually, he got a wild card to start, but without the possibility of taking first place. In the video, we see Dimash standing on the first day of the competition as the first performer in front of an audience of 500, who are also jurors. Everyone is waiting in suspense for his performance, because they do not know each other.

"I got so excited I'm knocking stuff off my piano" LOL I completely understand!

Surely this is one of the greatest vocal performances of all time. No exaggeration. His vocal range, tone and control is masterful. He can sing anything. His mother is an opera singer his father a top flight musician. Dimash has been studying music since the age of 5, tutored by the very best. He has a vocal range of... 6 OCTAVES! He can effortlessly reach notes way beyond a Soprano. Dimash performs across all musical genres and in a dozen languages. He is only 25 years old and has the world at his feet. I predict that in a few short years he will become a global icon on a level never before achieved.

2017, he was 22 yrs old. Singer competing in China. ❤️🇨🇦 love him👍👍 thank you!!!

He is a baritone, sopran and also tenor..he has all of that, maybe more than that

One word to describe his first reaction to Dimash...BAFFLED!

I believe that note near the end was actually mix, which is just ridiculous.

We cannot put Dimash singing in the limit to opera or another genre  of the music because this is the new type Space music. It elevates us, makes us feel good and perfect and stimulates us to create miracles in our lives! Thank you Dimash ! You are gift from the Universe !

Thanks for reacting to Dimash! His highest note so far is D8 which he did during the performance  Unforgettable Day Gakku Concert.

DIMASH IS THE BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD! !
