Anchoring in the Mediterranean – crowded bays, annoying anchoring neighbors, drifting boats, and collisions. In this video, I'll show you seven real anchoring mistakes I filmed live during four years of long-distance sailing: incorrect swing circle, overlooking Posidonia seagrass, anchor failure, underestimating the weather, collisions with neighbors, and more.
In this video, you'll learn:
✅ How to identify Posidonia seagrass and correctly assess the anchorage
✅ How to calculate your swing circle – avoiding collisions
✅ Which anchoring equipment actually holds (and which fails)
✅ How to anchor safely in a storm
✅ Seven real anchoring mistakes – with actual video clips
