For nearly 130 years, this building, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, stood right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur - and nobody could go inside. Not as a tourist. Not as a resident. Unless you had official government or court business, the doors were essentially closed. That changed in February 2026.
I've been living in KL for almost ten years. I've walked past this building more times than I can count. And I finally got in.
