I've been living in Kuala Lumpur for almost ten years now. And I just got back from three months in Europe — which, as always, made everything about life here feel suddenly very clear. The things I love. The things I find hard. All of it.
So while those impressions are still fresh, I wanted to sit down and talk through ten honest things about living in Malaysia. Six things that have kept me here. Four things I genuinely struggle with.

We we're middle income country with good basic facilities 🎉

There are foreigners using our government clinics and hospitals with a fraction of the private costs.
Put your ego aside and blend with the local people🎉 local cultures. We don't say money sir money...😂
I didn't agree with some of the negatives but "to each their own" and it's good to know the positives clearly outweigh the negatives.
I wish you good fortune for everything in the future 😊
- when one has flexibility and isn't on a fixed schedule,
- in the outskirts, preferably in a resort town,
- by those who love skiing, ice skating...etc,
- when thought of as a period of clearing (unwanted vegetation and many pests die) and preservation (charcuterie and dairy),
- as a sabbatical, ie, a period of deep rest, recalibration and reviewing.
Generally speaking, the 4 seasons keep a person on his toes as he plans and prepares for the variables throughout the year. In the tropics, there's the danger of eventually becoming "troppo" , ie, the blunting of one's sense of urgency, motivation and mind.
