We did not make the Unitary Constitution with its 68 chains ⛓️‍💥, so we are not going to start visiting these chains ⛓️ one after the other, and we are not talking of reviewing the fraudulent and illegitimate Unitary Constitution, instead we are going to completely decommission it, so we can RESET the Nigerian entity.

Charles’s journalism has become excessively legalistic, and that makes his interviews predictable, cautious and, frankly, boring. The fact that his father was a lawyer does not mean he must approach journalism as though he were practising law.

Journalism, particularly in a deteriorating nation, cannot be reduced to sitting in an air-conditioned studio, waiting for others to bring you information, and then interrogating them like a lawyer in court. A journalist’s first responsibility is to go out and find the story—to investigate, cultivate sources, ask uncomfortable questions, verify facts and bring information into the public domain.

The journalist should be the one who knows, hears and discovers what others do not. When the journalist contributes little beyond legalistic questioning of guests who have actually brought the information to the studio, the roles are effectively reversed.

Nigeria needs journalism that is investigative, courageous and intellectually curious—not journalism that hides behind technicalities and procedural caution. Charles needs to leave the comfort of the studio and hunt for information. That is where journalism begins.
