Shan Prasher is one of India's sharpest film and culture commentators, known for his unfiltered roasts, fearless industry takes, and refusal to play along with Bollywood PR machinery. With years of experience as a writer, video creator, and YouTuber, he brings a rare insider perspective on the films, stars, and shifting power dynamics shaping Indian cinema today.

In this episode, Vinamre and Shan discuss:

• Why TVK is in trouble and what Vijay's politics really means for Tamil Nadu
• The South's actor-worship culture and the casteism Bollywood won't touch
• Why Indian films can never match Hollywood despite the money
• Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor, and the biggest gamble Bollywood has placed in years
• Why the 3 Khans are cooked and the surgery era of aging stars
• Dhurandhar's success, the OTT lawsuit drama, and where Bollywood goes next

First BJP did not stop Vijay's movie from release. The certification body is an independent body. Second does anyone even know that a budget Tamil movie on RSS was also not given certificate on time because of that the director has to release the movie in YouTube called Indhudaa. Sometimes Shaan oversteps on things without proper understanding. The supreme court clearly said that Jananayagan team and the censorship board and go ahead and make the edits that were told by board and once done can get the certificate and release but they didn't do it so BJP cannot be blamed

Aditya Dhar's biggest advantage is that he strikes a perfect balance between spectacle and storytelling, which is different and more impactful than typical Bollywood films. Audiences today want to see not just big scenes, but also the conviction and logic behind those scenes , which Aditya Dhar provides in his films

59:32 What? Ranvir put Bajirao, Ram Leela, 83, Padmavat on his shoulder and Deepika is bigger puller of crowd?
Well Deepika did Chhapak and Gehraiyaan where she was the lead and has the burden of being the central face? What happened?

I agree with this international perspective. Since he lives in Canada, like me, people from these countries aren’t likely to watch Ramayana or Varanasi. Even so, there’s still a small chance that 5% of the foreign audience will watch Ramayana.

Bro I agree that telugu speaking states has lowest literacy rate but every one knows telugu people are there in every it company in any country you go and see that too in a big number, so don’t project here saying that telugu people are dumb.
