really happy that you have watched King Kong (2005)
the CGI is still holds up to this day

I love how Kong goes on this big emotional journey, finding a home and family while Godzilla's like "Whatever, I'm just here to fight." XD

You girls would probably love the Planet of the Apes films.

Godzilla and Mothra were together since 1964

Bridge destroyed.
"Now, how can I get to the school?" - Hella 😂

Some unfortunate news:

Kaylee Hottle, the girl who portrayed Jia, tragically passed away this week. She was one of two passengers in a car driven by a 19 year old friend who lost control as a result of reckless driving, the car went off the road and Kaylee suffered multiple blunt force injuries. Paramedics tried to save her, but her heart gave in on the way to the ER. She was only 18 years old.
The upcoming sequel will be the last film for both Kaylee and Sam Neill.

Ivy has become a very welcome addition now that she is feeling more comfortable.

There is also a series called Monarch.

Best monster movie of 2024! If my grandma was here, she would've loved this movie along with Godzilla vs Kong (2021) RIP Grandma. Godzilla x Kong The New Empire is amazing.

After Godzilla vs Kong, I wanted to see more of them working together and this movie did not disappoint. I felt like a kid again.

Godzilla’s new design here is an homage to the Millennium series design from both ‘Godzilla: 2000’ & ‘Godzilla vs Megaguirus’. Seeing both Mothra & Kong meet for the first time is another awesome moment in giant monster flick history!

Fun Fact: Shimo was the inspiration of a scrapped monster with the same abilities that was meant to fight Godzilla during the Heisei series in the 90s. I think it’s great that the creators here gave Shimo’s original predecessor another chance to shine for this movie!

4:32 Giant Lovecraftian Kaiju Crab appears!
Hella, "I'm going to boil you!"
Chi, "So yummy!  I want to eat boiled crab now."
Ivy, "Me too!"

I'd like to see Ivy react to the original 1950s Godzilla/Gojira.

I hope the ladies get to watch the "Monarch" TV show.  It was criminally underrated.

I like how Godzilla had to show up Kong in the end with his roar. Shit was hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂

We had just lost Jia in a car accident today. RIP.

They never mention it in the movie but Mini Kong’s name is Suko. I lost it when Kong used Suko as a weapon. Kong and Suko were like Kratos and Atreus

18:33 girls jump scare 😂😂😂😂

Xin chào các chị, I'm glad yall been enjoying the Monsterverse movies as I don't know many other Vietnamese people besides my cousin who also enjoy them.
Since yall are watching the 2005 King Kong movie too, I recommend watching the Planet of the Apes movies with Andy Serkis (AKA Gollum & King Kong 2005)

- 2011 Rise of the Planet of the Apes
- 2014 Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
- 2017 War for the Planet of the Apes
- 2024 Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Godzilla vs Kong The New Empire is my favorite movie

I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. The fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who could rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, as is her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only lo the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head, but the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King,

Fun fact: Dan Stevens (Trapper) also played The Beast in the Beauty And The Beast remake.
