I'm always happy to see The Munchies showing pride in and love of their homeland of Vietnam.

29:10 In this fight Kong uses a rock, a tree, a chain, and … a throwing star.   This is a straight-up street fight.   And we are ALL here for it.

I feel SO old: 'Who is John Wayne?'  Really?

Movies Munchies, you are amazing and Asian Angels ❤❤
John Wayne was an actor who played classic cowboy movies

Skull Island is how I picture the majority of the wildlife in Australia. It all gets connected in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters

Hella:  "Oh my God!  I told you about the tongue!"
😂😂

As a 30-something American who knows NOTHING about Vietnam; it has been super interesting to get y'all's perspectilve on various parts of USA culture from your videos.

The jungle scenes were shot in Trang An, Ninh Binh, Vietnam. I’ve been there several times; some remnants of the “native village” were still there on my last visit, but the locals said the area was soon being restored to its natural state so it is probably gone now. The area is incredibly beautiful… a paddle-boat ride on the river through the valleys between the karst mountains should be on everyone’s  “bucket-list” .

chi eyes turn into HEARTS 😍 when she sees the loki actor 🤣 i like ivy hand signals when chi is doing the patreon message 🤭 hela has a GREAT KONG ROAR! 😄 excellent, exciting reaction ladies, thank you! 👍😁

Skull-Crawlers is the perfect name for those lizard things running around the island, fighting Kong

5:12 Ivy translates for the audience!

2 things
1. Ivy's back, YAY!!!!!!
2. Did she seriously just ask "Who's John Wayne?" My soul just died some

I have never seen a human get big sparkly Anime eyes like Chi does at 5:25 when she recognizes "Loki"... Her whole face lights up!!!
That was such a beautiful spontaneous moment... 💖

There's an old saying, that when all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Samuel L. Jackson's character knows nothing but life as a soldier, so he treats everything like it's a war, or slowly goes insane during peacetime. A fun fact about all the King Kong movies, Skull Island has a different location in every movie. In the very first movie in 1933, Skull Island was 800 to 900 miles south-southeast of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. In the 1976 movie, it's further east, south of Java. In Peter Jackson's 2005 epic, it's somewhere between the original location and Sumatra, also in the Indian Ocean. In this movie, Skull Island is never given a precise location, but it is implied to be in the South Pacific, near the Solomon Islands or New Guinea. What's really interesting is that it's only the first King Kong where Kong is the villain. In every movie made since, Kong becomes more and more special and unique, and worthy of protection. Audiences have just become more enlightened over time, I guess. Fun reaction ladies!

Girls, did u know Fat Guy who talking to Loki is Security from some of the Tom and Jerry cartoon.. 🤔💖

Hela - "Who's John Wayne?" Well, the honeymoon is over. I'm officially disappointed. Time for the girls to watch "The Searchers".

31:00 Captain Marvel and Loki

I love how Kong rips out that one Skullcrawler's guts,  much to the disgust of the human visitors.

Side note: It's hilarious to hear Samuel L. Jackson say "Bitch, please!!" 😁😆😂🤣

Damn. Ivy always has the cutest outfits.
Also, John Wayne was a famous American actor who starred in a lot of cowboy films.
26:34 Damn! Ivy's got more attitude than Hella. 😂😂

John Wayne made 169 feature length films, True Grit, The Searchers, The Longest Day among others are all highly regarded, for one based on the Vietnam war (but not filmed in Vietnam as the war was still ongoing at the time of filming) he made The Green Berets.
