Convergence

▸ Once, there were infinite Earths. Untold timelines. Innumerable Elseworlds. Then there came a Crisis…a Zero Hour…a Flashpoint. Worlds lived. Worlds died. Now they all must fight for their future!

The evil alien intelligence known as Brainiac has stolen 50 doomed cities from throughout time and space and brought them to a place beyond the Multiverse—a sentient planet of his own design, a world with the power of a god.

As heroes and villains from dozens of worlds battle each other for their very existence, it’s up to a ragtag band of warriors from a slain Earth to put an end to this threat that bends the Multiverse to its will. Reality itself hangs in the balance…

YOU COULD HAVE COVERED CAPTAIN CARROT FOR EASTER

@danielwakefield5826 5 months ago

"I love Captain Carrot. Captain Carrot is a supa bunny." will never get old, i love it every time.

This is basically the DCKO before the DCKO.

Brainiac is a Pokemon trainer that decided civilizations are the Pokemon. Even got them battling each other for his entertainment

@Papiru515 5 months ago

Rob, how do we petition to get an Absolute version of Captain Carrot?!

Comic book timelines be frying my brain to a crisp

Glad i'm never in those communities to understand the consensus because I genuinely loved convergence. This is technically the event where they seeded the idea of bringing back pre new 52 superman

@kroketrendang 5 months ago

Convergence is mostly forgotten, though it did bring back pre-New 52 Superman and Jon Kent. The most hated modern DC event is Heroes in Crisis.

Best part about flashpoint Joker was the bit where she asks Thomas what Bruce was like in the universe where he lived and he says “he takes after his dad” Martha thinks this means he becomes a doctor and says as much but when she clicks on to what Thomas means she goes fully insane and falls into a cave to her death. It’s actually so sad that entire story.

If you’ve never read flashpoint or watched a video properly on the full story you need to

2014? Christ I’ve been following you for 12-13 years

It's so cool how he weaved Infinite Crisis, Zero Hour, Flashpoint, and Kingdom Come in his little monologue. That writing was chef's kiss

@asingh53 5 months ago

I remember when flashpoint was now happening, it was interesting and exciting but to hear people talk about this and convergence like they are past stories, make me realise I am getting very old lol

8:48 I’d pay good money for a shirt that says “I love captain carrot, captain carrots a super bunny”

@LAVATORR 5 months ago

5:25 just once, I want an "alien comes to earth and judges humanity" story where the alien's like "okay, not bad, not the best but far from the worst, you're still making mistakes, but that's pretty common at your level. Overall, solid B."

And then he leaves. No explanation, no naggy speeches about how we kill our own kind, no bullshit about how we're redeemed by the power of love. We're just fine. Good enough. Anyway, back to work guys.

In hindsight on a surface level Convergence does sound like a Precursor to DC KO

@danielcedeno6779 5 months ago

Captain Carrot is a super bunny laughs a little 😂

@ShinySephiroth1 5 months ago

1:46 *Society, not League. New 52 was trying to re-establish the Silver Age distinction between the main Earth and JSA Earth.
