Françoise Michaux, a 73-year-old Belgian woman, was brutally murdered inside her secluded home in Roisin, Belgium, in October 2013. She was discovered shot in the back and head, sparking an intense investigation. Authorities uncovered that the crime was orchestrated by Edouard Donys, the ex-partner of Michaux’s daughter-in-law, driven purely by greed. Donys enlisted Grégory Dumont to carry out the killing.

Justice was served when Donys received a 30-year prison sentence and Dumont 25 years. However, before serving his time, Donys fled and quickly became one of Belgium’s most wanted fugitives. After years on the run, he was finally captured in France in 2019.

First she is murdered, then her family disrespect her by letting her beautiful home go to ruin. That is sad, sad, sad.

R.I.P to this lovely woman. She didn't deserve that fate.

How sad to lose your life at that age when you should be enjoying your golden years. Some truly evil people in this world.

she must have been so scared. it hurts my heart knowing she has been forgotten.

Such a sad story! I never understand people who murder for money or possessions because almost no one gets to enjoy it because people get caught. That house feels like it's full of love

It always blows my mind that people are OK with taking things that don't belong to them! I hope & pray that the thugs that do that are haunted by the human they stole from!

SHAME ON LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR NOT COMING OUT SHE MIGHT HAVE LIVED OR THE SHOOTER COULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT ON THE SENE

A daughter in law would be married to the woman's son, her only child. And he was involved and ran away to France until caught. How tragic and sad. All for the love of money. Some Souls need to learn the hard way what not to do in Life.

I love how respectful you are when going to these locations Josh. You don't treat it just like a house without a story, you think about the real people who lived there.

I really hope someone sees this, falls in love with this home, and wants to search for the family who owns it so they can purchase it to restore it.

@annphoe1994 1 year ago

What I love about this is that you went in respectful and paid more attention to the woman who lived there and only mentioned the crime briefly.

Why do poeple not collect their family pictures but just abandoned It makes me so annoyed as I am a family genealogist and would value them if it were my family

@kathyrobinson9959 1 year ago

I'm 71 and the people in the double frame would have been more likely to be my great grandparents just comparing it to my family photographs and what I know about them. Great video, Josh! You never disappoint!

5:41 it's so sad on so many levels. You just never know who in your circle harbors the greed demon. 💔

How in the hell can you just sit on the bed? Oh hell no.

If those are pictures of the deceased woman and her husband they were two very, very beautiful people. The woman pictured at (6:19)….gorgeous!

That’s a gorgeous house. Such a shame that it’s left to rot.

I saw this property explored on another channel, a year ago ( just a few months prior Josh’s trip) and there were lots of her alligator handbags, fur coat, and other really expensive, vintage stuff laying around. Nowhere to be seen in this video. It’s sad how her belongings are just taken and stolen.

Wow Josh!!! I first started watching u almost 8 years ago while I was still hard at work as a nurse. Life happened and I just didn’t have time for videos. Today I’m retired and almost live on YouTube. This came up in my feed and I thought “could this be the same Josh?” It is…. And it’s a great video. I have time now so I think I’ll go back and binge. I have a lot of years to catch up on. I see ur a little older now too with is actually comforting. Glad u have hung in there and u have a successful brand and business.
