Robert is easily one of my favourite directors working today, he's so good at giving his films a fantastic atmosphere

Happy to see a few Ukrainian movies here! An important note: the director of the The eve of Ivan Kupala is Illenko, not Dovjenko!

So many rare movies he points out, it's amazing, Robert is a real passionate one!

This guy sounds like early Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Richard Donner, John McTiernan.... no pretense, just love for movies and a 20/20 vision. He knows what he wants. We'll see a lot great movies from him in the future.

I am italian and I'll say it in italian: Eggers è uno dei registi più appassionati e appassionanti di sempre, è un vero piacere ascoltarlo.

Only to see Paradjanov in one of his picks tells you a lot about Eggers, an absolute author-cinema geek/freak. Few people know Parajanov films, he was a genius director, also influenced and admired by Tarkovsky. Scorsese restored a Parajanov film recently.
