Know someone from SA...the stuff she's told me, man.

Awful conditions, farmers getting tortured, blackouts, witnessing "necklacings."

Just gotten worse and they're turning it into a pile of garbage. Praying for Orania really.

Oh what a delightful overlap of two people I enjoy.

Callum's travel channel is great.

The right in America needs to get it through their heads that "we need outside labor to sustain xyz" should just mean "xyz is something we're going to need to learn to live without, or become efficient/downsize it enough to do ourselves". No more labor excuses and justifications for replacement.

Edit: Kirsche's flooring is probably fine as it doesn't involve said labor immigrating.

Resident Evil 5 can't be racist when it looks like it was a documentary.

Callum always uses North Korean music for his videos. EDIT: Apparently he hasn't been there, just got hold of the music and likes putting it on his videos.

old statement that's wrong: He got hold of a lot of it when he took a trip there.

Callum and Kirsche was not a crossover I was expecting. But it is one I welcome

South Africa is a different reality that we're going to become uncomfortably familiar with.

If Kirsche reads this, im an Afrikaner with an extensive collection of books on our history as well as a lot of knowledge of strories handed down from my elders. Im willing to put together a research paper specifically for her to do a video on if she ever wants to do a deep dive into our history. Offer stands from now untill any point in the future.

Callum uses North Korean propaganda music since it is free and no one will strike him for using it.

1:22:00 As a South African I can't believe I didn't realise this. This is what the new South African anthem sounds like since 1994, they took an Afrikaner cultural song and ripped out it's original words and meaning for the new rainbow nation. Holy Shit

I don't usually watch travel vlogs, but when I do, it's Britannica.

South Africa is an example I show people whenever I hear that the people "have had enough!" That we are "THIS CLOSE from things getting out of hand!" That "there will be a reckoning"...

No, there will not be. South Africa is an example of how modern people would rather endure living in hell on earth than take matters into their own hands and fix the problem using drastic but necessary measures.

I miss Callum on the the lotus eaters

32:46 genuinely why zombie movies didn’t make sense to me as a kid in South Africa. I thought it was normal for homes to be zombie proof😂

One key note on his "Kabul is safer than Cape Town" point... he's a guy. For us ladies, most of the world is those "go here and you will die" shanty towns, especially Muslim countries like Afghanistan.

@jeraya520 1 month ago

Just to be clear, when Calum says "they still have trains" he isen't making fun of them, after seeing how dilapidated the railsystem in Zimbabwe was he is just genuinely happy for the South Africans.

@LuminousGoL 1 month ago

So they built a mutual aid society in response to the predicted collapse of south africa? Proving that it can work by even showing that the town pays for private security without a need for government forces? Interesting...

@roguewasbanned4746 1 month ago

22:27 it’s because they propagandize you in grade school. They put Nelson Mandela next to MLK and Gandhi despite him being a blood thirsty terrorist and paraded him around as a civil rights hero.

I worked with a South African guy once (non-afrikkaner) and asked if I should visit for a vacation and he said no, since he likes me and he didn't want me to get hurt, it was a wild conversation.
