Watching a horse with a thick winter coat like Nudel get de-shedded is oddly satisfying. All that hair is already loose, it’s just clinging to her coat, so I use a shedding tool to lift it away. This was a major shedding session! Horses really do lose a ton of hair this time of year. Some people choose to clip, but others prefer to help the process along like this.

The best part is seeing how they feel afterward, she took off running and looked so happy. You can tell she feels so much better. And at the very end, when I finished, she looked right at me and gave a little neigh… pretty sure that was her way of saying thank you 😂

Nudel isn’t my horse, I just help care for her at the farm. I turn her out, groom, and exercise her. It’s volunteer work… I just really love being with horses.❤️
