For various reasons, some viewers had issues with the technique of taking out the O’Driscoll who opens the door, so I made this video to show an alternate way to lure the O’Driscolls out of the back room. I’m not sure if it’s easier, but at least you now have another option if the technique in my other video doesn’t work for you.

Just be sure to paint your targets with ❌️s to make sure they go down and don’t retreat back into the room. As demonstrated, you can shoot them multiple times without repercussions, empty a whole cylinder if you have to. 😅

I found this alternative while experimenting with hogtying Sheriff Malloy and then releasing him in the back room. The answer: he just stands there, then vanishes as soon as the O’Driscolls turn hostile. I was hoping they’d duke it out... 😏

Just to add, if you’re still in Chapter 2 and want to get a second Schofield Revolver but have already completed the first bounty mission, which I might add is also a great way to get a free Schofield Revolver using the door glitch, the only drawback is that all lootable items in the back have a “Take” prompt instead of a “Claim” prompt, meaning you’ll only receive single rewards instead of doubles, and unfortunately, the safe also can’t be cracked without alerting the law, so repeating this robbery remains the more convenient alternative. 🔫🔫😉

To reiterate, the simple act of hovering over any item with a “Steal” prompt, whether in the shop front or the bottle of bitters on the back-room shelf, will change all “Claim” items in the back room from Claim to Steal and undo all your hard work. If the “Steal” prompt appears in the lower corner of the screen, you’ve brushed up too close to the forbidden fruit... 🤪

I never knew this was repeatable based on the table of money as I always took it alongside the gun, gonna have to do this from this point on as one of the few gripes I had with rdr 2 was me thinking things should have been more repeatable activity wise..little did I know I was the fool Causing my own downfall

I managed to rob the gun smith without raising the alarm. It took several hours and it really depended on the RNG of the o Driscoll gang members spawning nearby cause they instantly become aggressive if you do anything.

Love your content. I missed the boat on when this game was new, and all my friends told me to play it as they knew I was into westerns. I can't put this game down, but this was extremely helpful. This video was an easy subscribe for me!

I have used this technique before.  But one handy hint to know about this method.  Sometimes after dynamiting the safe, a lawman or two may enter the front room of the drug store.  If this happens, stay around the corner away from the door and stay out of view, until they disappear from the mini map (I don't know if they leave or if the game despawns them).  If they somehow explore into the back room and see you, the gig is up and you'll have to either shoot them and escape under fire or reload and try again.  But they don't usually come any farther into the store than the front office, so you should be fine.  Have patience until they're gone and then walk out.

Everything worked thanks, it took me 4-5hr to finally get clean pass.

Thank you very much. I hated that mechanic of the game and this scenario that even if you are silent and no shot was given that the police is always triggered. That made no sense to me and took the fun out of it, since I like to play the game as "realistic" as possible. This helped a lot!
