You are right in your previous statement. V's vocals are particularly impressive in this performance due to his deliberate delivery. In an interview, V pointed out that he intentionally used a more soulful, and lower register for Layover to match the emotional tone of the album. He wanted to show a different side of himself compared to his work with BTS, which often involved more dynamic and brighter vocal styles.

You can never leave once you've heard V. There is so much respect for V because of the very fact that he's taking the road less taken confidently and with  respect for the music. It is so authentic he' so authentic in his take of music that one can not but marvel at his artistry.

You are right pros to V for introducing the band and also in slow dancing he shorten his lyrics for the band to shine as much as them only a real artist who love music acts that way Borahae 💜

Layover is a balm to the heart, Taehyung’s voice has such calming and healing properties

I love V, I resonate a lot with him, his style and his personality. I love his style and his voice, it makes me “feel” the music.  When I first listened to BTS V caught my attention by his voice. He is a very good singer.

I discovered Taehyung through tiny desk performances and I was so impressed that I immediately became a fan till now

Kim Taehyung is known as the Idol of Idols and Stage King because he brings so much style and individuality that many idols are inspired by him. He burns the stage every time and goes viral with his dancing like no one else in the world ❤‍🔥

One of the best performance ever. Showcasing both V’s and the band’s capabilities so well 🥰💜

Tae (V) not only have amazing vocals but also the most endearing personality. He is unique, think outside the box, creative and definitely someone who marches to his own drums.
In an interview with GQ 2020, Tae said that for him, integrity and honour are the things he hold dear. He would not ever want to compromise his principles and being honest is of utmost importance to him.
Tae carries that attitude through his artistic and musical endeavours, nothing done is for image, charts or popularity; but for the joy it may bring to himself and others.
He also does the same in his personal life which is why Tae is very close with his family and still is close friends with several of his high school mates, as he values those who support him.

There is nothing wrong with good old fashioned great music and that is what Km Taehyung gives us, no fuss and bother, no blatant sexuality, no swearing, just true music that can be appreciated and played over and over, Tae’s music will age like fine wine and is ageless. All served with a smile that can melt your heart, a voice that is soothing to your ears and a face that strikes you repeatedly with its perfection and beauty, topped with his big heart and wicked humour, he really is the complete package.💜

V’s album broke records as a solo artist, he sold over 2.5million albums in the first week and for a jazzy, r&b, pop album. The album was ranked #2 on the billboard top kpop album of the year 2023 and charted at #2 on the billboard 200. Why that is impressive and really great is because he managed to add standard jazz elements into an r&b/pop style so cleverly that a lot of people didn’t notice. For me, V is the perfect person to bring jazz back into the mainstream instead of in some cafe/lounge bar. Jazz was the most popular genre until Elvis brought rock and roll and I really like that someone as popular as V can effect change in the current bland music industry.

"This song is a vibe"
This whole album is a vibe. Tae's smooth, warm voice and that chill music. It's easy listen and sooo relaxing. Once a weak I'm making myself a "home spa" evening and Layover is making half of my playlist😅

Tae is a beautiful soul inside and out…probably the most beautiful person I’ve seen irl

I love that he appreciates music at it's core. I have also noticed that he is very aware of what the instruments are doing. He is a true musician. He also knows how to play the sax. Also, his taste in music is actually pretty diverse. He listens to a wide range of musical styles from Jazz, 90's Rock Ballads, Alternative, Soul, R&B, etc. He and RM are alike in this way.

You need react to stigma live performance by taehyung to understand the really of power rang his voice

V is just class!

I’m so glad you watched this and enjoyed it! I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned (likely yes) — that V used to play saxophone at school / before joining BTS, and has always advocated his love for jazz. I do think he is as sincere and successful in this performance because of his love and respect for the genre. Thank you for reacting and looking forward to the album review!

Taehyung is Jazz and Rnb, it’s his whole being and I absolutely love him for it

Glad you reacted to this tiny desk. It shows one side of V’s vocals. RM said that V is able to sing all genres and make them authentic. I would also recommend another vocal compilation to show V’s vocal vasatilitu. The video is called ‘Kim Taehyung’s best live vocals’ by VTS OT7. V is a real musician’s musician and he has fans from opera and musical theatre like Lea Solonga and Sami Jo (grammy winning opera singer) who rave about his vocals and stage presence. Sami Jo said that V has absolute pitch. Kmedia call V the diamond voice of Korea an apt title for V’s unique vocals. FYI, I love that V serves the song and lyrics and not himself. Too many songs bring adlibs and high notes which for me serve the artist and not the song. V’s music is going to be timeless because he doesn’t add the latest trendy singing style and I love his style of music.
