Jimin is holding his mic that way during the song Pied Piper. This is the story of the man who was able to lure rats and eventually children by the playing of his flute. It's Jimin's homage to the character in the song.

He's holding the mic that way because he is the Pied Piper.

Jimin holds the mic like a flute while singing the lyrics “follow the sound of the flute” in the song “pied piper.” It’s on theme 😄

You noticed RM almost falling off the stool which is not surprising to ARMY coz even though RM is our beloved leader he is also our clumsiest member ❤😅

It’s so funny that you caught RM nearly falling from the seat. He is brilliant (IQ 148) and incredibly creative, but is called the God of Destruction because he inadvertently breaks things, knocks things over, is extremely clumsy, and sometimes incapable of doing simple everyday tasks. Jin, the eldest member, once said, “ When I look at Namjoon [RM] I know God is fair.”

JK is a natural at harmonizing and is probably the one who will ad lib harmonize the most. His musical ear is top tier.

Jin is definitely the most plosive in his singing. Oftentimes its the only indicator that they're singing live so I often listen out for Jins plosive mic pops 😂

Just a little fact about this video. All of the songs that they performed are all B-sides of their albums. Jungkook (the purple hair) loves to harmonize with the members. There are multiple songs that he harmonized with the rappers. JK was nicknamed the "golden maknae (youngest)" because aside from being the main vocalist, he can also rap (especially in their early years) and one of the lead dancers in the group.

They improvise a lot, especially with ad-libs. Jungkook does it all the time, even backstage. He is also an excellent mimic of his other members and basically anything he hears. It comes natural to him. As for their postures and ability to sing while dancing, they sing while working out, mostly while running on a treadmill.

Jungkook frequently harmonises with other members just randomly, out of blue, so in their live performances you will often hear harmonies that were not in the original recording. In their Tiny Desk Concert there is a part where he harmonises with Jhope and we know from the backstage video that Jhope asked him if he wants to do that part with him right before recording and they still pulled it off. They have insane amount of backstage vids to go through but in nearly all of them there's at least one scene where somebody randomly starts singing and you can be sure Jungkook will join in at some point with adlibs and harmonies. That boy just genuinely loves singing.

Please react to Their MMA 2019 full performance. You've only seen them sing. Now you need to really see them "perform"
I love this performance. I love how it just fractures into chaos at the end because these guys love what they're doing and it shows with how much fun they have.

When people say that bts transcend kpop it’s not about the genres they do because kpop is not a genre. You’ll find every genre done in kpop because it is just “popular music.” I think armys are usually talking more about the topics they touch on and their commitment to the art of music that can set them apart on the global stage

on V(green shirt) hitting the high notes while sitting back - you should see the performance for "I'm Fine". He starts off singing on his back supported by the other members.

12:33 i am not sure if it is sound guys fault, as army i would say Jin definitely loves to accentuate his "p" sounds especially at the beginning of the word. Also Korean language has 2 different p sounds one of which is sharper and longer "ppi" and another sounds more like "b" to western ear

I have watched this countless times, and I’ve never noticed RM almost falling 😂 Thank you for this reaction; very happy you are seeing our talented guys!

6:05 Namjoon in that particular song is widely considered to be one of the sexiest namjoons

The singers rap, the rappers sing, they play musical instruments, they dance, they compose, write lyrics, produce - they are incredibly talented. Nothing should surprise you! And while they all can and do ad lib and harmonise, they are also meticulous planners and rehearsers, about pretty much everything. Such hard workers combined with natural talent - genius level.

I was amazed when I first heard them sing live while dancing. Jung Kook is said to have the most stable voice while moving, but they're all incredible.  BTW, the one with purple hair is Jung Kook. He was blessed with perfect pitch and often adds harmonies and ad libs.

For your next reaction, I'd like to suggest the opening of their Yet to Come in Busan concert, there's a stage cam on their official channel with their Mic Drop and Run BTS performances (stage cam meaning that it has kind of wider focus so rather than doing the individual shots it's more zoomed out so you can see the full choreography). BTS are not only at their best when they're live, but when they're performing for ARMY so their energy for concerts is completely unmatched. You'd be seeing what has become a staple of their concerts Mic Drop which they'd been consistently performing for about five years at that point, but also Run BTS which was being performed for the first time that day.

I can see you falling in love with BTS the same way we all did: one performance, one song at a time!
