This video examines the current state of the street vendor movement, waged under the guise of a so-called "struggle for survival," by examining the various hardships endured by a street vendor group over the three years since reporting a vendor's stall in front of his store to the district office.
▶ Dissecting Street Vendors in Ilsan's Downtown District
By comparing the realities of street vendors who have joined street vendor groups with those who have not, this video examines their plight and explores alternative solutions. Furthermore, by examining the real estate and vehicle ownership status of some street vendors in Ilsan, obtained through information disclosure, this video examines whether these vendors are truly poor.

In one area of Gyeonggi Province, a street vendor group has been blocking other vendors from operating for several months. Through their stories, we expose the unreasonable practices of some street vendor groups, including the so-called "spot-picking."

We conducted a field trip to Japan to closely investigate how Fukuoka, Japan, which has faced similar street vendor problems to Korea, came to implement a "street vendor permit system" and what results it has achieved.
▶ What will be the outcome of the conflict between Seoul City Hall and street vendor groups?
With street vendor groups vehemently rejecting the Seoul Metropolitan Government's street vendor pilot project, the street vendor issue this fall is escalating into uncontrollable conflict and confrontation. We will explore how the Seoul Metropolitan Government and street vendor groups can make concessions and find genuine solutions to this deeply rooted problem.
