Recently got my X4 and absolutely loving it. Already read so much and it significantly cut down my phone time and bought back some much needed reading time. Won't lie the long term durability of it does make a bit anxious (given my innate clumsiness) but I hope to keep it well and alive for years to come. Especially now that its the last of its kind and all popular Ereaders like kindle and kobo have now been pulled out of my country leaving only the higher end models behind

This is awesome to share! I’m a physical first reader, but books that aren’t worth the space in my library I will just do the eReader, KLC on my bedside table and the XTEink X4 when I’m anywhere else

My kobo is super stripped down, I keep it in side loaded mode which strips the store and most of the connected features, I quite like it this way

Love your videos on e-ink devices and distraction-free setups! As a student doing everything on pen and paper, trying a friend's e-ink tablet was a game changer for eye strain—just wish they fit into a student budget right now. If you ever host a giveaway or do a clearance for older review units, I'd jump at the chance. Keep making awesome, thoughtful content!

I personally use a BigMe B7 Pro as my home e-reader and multi use tablet. I carry the Xteink X4 in my pocket everywhere I go. I'll read a chapter in the grocery line.

I don't use eInk devices for anything other than reading... it's what they excel at, and for reading, I think the size sweet spot is paperback (6 to 7in).  
I've had several of the smaller devices but I found the fonts too small and when I cranked them up to typical paperback size, you had to flip pages too often.
I use the Kobo Clara BW... I specifically chose BW over the color variety because, when side-by-side, the black text looked like grayscale and the resolution seemed to be lower.

Very interesting. For me I have 3 devices for my weekly use. The Supernote Nomad I use everyday as my diary/journal, ideas and rants device. The reMarkable paper pro as my work horse alongside it the Viwoods aipaper mini as my planner, to dos, appointments and calendar entry for work purposes. These 2 are my everyday carry for work. And I read and listen to music on the aipaper mini for work commute also. Then I have the reMarkable paper pro move and the DuRobo Krono as my portable e-ink readers. Because I don't usually cary a phone, I mostly use the Apple Watch Ultra cellular  when going out. The rMPPM for social outing, church etc. The 6.13" Krono to read and listen to music on my walk and sightseeing escapades. These are my combinations that can also interchange as they are not set in stone. Great content, I always enjoy them👍

I recently picked up a Viwood aipaper reader after using an x4 and x3 and owning a boox note 5c. I have to say the Viwood is probably my favorite because of the screen tech. Carta 1300 really seems to make text so clear and easy to read.

Nice, I rarely see appreciation for the Inkpalm 5 Mini and it's my favourite. Perfect form factor (for my hands at least)

Excited for the second channel! Your thoughts and workflows have the closest to mine. Because of that, can I'm curious about how you feel about your devices in public? With filesizes being so small, I can keep soooo much of my notes, like you said years worth on the device. Do you ever get worried about losing/having it stolen in public?

Hey! I know it’s not e-ink, but it’d be really great to get your take on the TCL Note A1 NXTPAPER Tablet. Supposedly it reduces blue light to around 2%. The screen is matte so it doesn’t reflect things like an iPad. From what I’ve heard it’s not quite the paper-like feel you (and I) love but it’s not as bad as an iPad, and it seems like a better option for people who regularly draw diagrams or read documents with them, because since it’s not e-ink you’re able to zoom in/scroll without the delay of the e-ink getting wiped, and since it allows you to use colour but without the issues with colour eink. It also allows you to download apps like Goodnotes or whatever and use those freely too. I know these things might not be that important in your situation but thought I’d mention it in case it’s something you’re interested in exploring and giving your opinion on in your channel. :)

I would love to get a supernote device but it feels like it wouldn’t be ideal for university, since I wouldn’t be able to add colour to my notes. I’ve also considered the boox note air c5 or c6 for that reason. The unfortunate thing is that no company prioritizes repair ability and customer service the way supernote does

My primary e-ink reader is a Kobo Clara ( from before the Colour / BW ). I keep thinking about the Xteink X4 Pro for an on the go device.

Great to see the devices you use most. I agree the all in one device is difficult, and really not possible. For me currently, except for testing, it's the Manta and BOOX Go 6 Gen II. Thanks again for the video and best of luck with the second channel.

I bought a Kobo Clara BW, and it's miles better than a Kobo.

But, what I really need now is those phone-sized mini e ereaders because I can actually bring that anywhere.

10:29 You might prefer the little bit older Libra 2. I think it’s a better device in a few ways, the colour seems more of a marketing gimmick for their more premium reading focused device. Colour screens belong on note taking devices.
