I don't think even 5 Star hotels have origami loo paper, let alone 2 star. I am impressed though...😂

Sweet staff. How demoralizing to work under a control freak.

Feel like I’ve been watching Steve Coogan in character. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

NO MORE PURPLE ROOMS !!!!!!!! Enough with the purple . So much bad taste with bedding also seem the rule of the day in most every small hotel in this show .

Gill would drive me mad, she'd be outed

The home page of their website talks about the owner and the building. There is no focus on the guest experience. "Hello, I would like to make a reservation for two nights. Do you have origami loo paper?"

That guy was like a Steve Coogan character

Love the location and manor house. Another hour 'of business' and new ideas would have been good for this venue and episode! The wacky - ish owners are very likable. Having traded for ten years with zero profit, hopefully the new improvements and lease of life affords them a bright future 😎✌

Running a hotel would be exhausting!

The best program on channel 5.

Oragami swans and toilet paper would be very annoying. Who wants to unfurl the swan and get a crumpled up towel?

one of the few hotels that became successful and is still in business

Can any product or service with the word grim in ever work?

Alex did a wonderful job here. Brava.

I wonder whether Jill has ADHD like me? I can be sat in the middle of a room that is completely upside down, cleaning something with a toothbrush. It's like I'm soothed by having something small and meticulous to do- like blinking paper swans!

Stevecwouod look great with short hair imo.
