What Happened After: Brian and Elaine left the Fenwick Arms around 2009 to run another pub, The Ship Inn, in Aldborough. (Elaine sadly passed away in 2024, and Brian retired from management later that year.)
Subsequent ownership & closures: The Claughton pub went through various revamps and subsequent sales, closing temporarily before reopening as a seafood restaurant and pub in 2013.Recent status: It was rescued and incorporated under the Oakman Group and Seafood Pub Company operations to continue trading as a modernized country pub.
