Two Yu-Gi-Oh pros guess whether Magic: The Gathering cards are actually TERRIBLE or not, without knowing their real power level. Featuring ‪@CardmarketMagic‬ , this crossover puts two card game worlds head-to-head.

In this video, Pak and I will react to and guess the strength of iconic Magic cards, deciding which ones are secretly broken and which ones are just straight-up trash.

To be fair Pac was right about Smothering Tithe it isn't very good in 1v1 it is only cracked in commander. So I think he was right.

Love y'all but the sound variance was insane this video

Pak was totally correct in his logic on smothering tithe. He just didn't know about commander

Pak got robbed on the Smothering Tithe question.
Playing Tithe in 1v1 Magic is doodoo

It's crazy work for you to tell Pac that he's wrong because of Commander and then immediately tell them that they have 20 life for the next card. 😂

pak is actually smart af, huge respect

why is the man yelling at me and the nice cardmarket guys the whole time? 😅

In the future, I would suggest mentioning the rules to the contestants more clearly. Perhaps as, "Is it a staple in ANY MTG format." It can be stinker in all but 1, but will still be considered a staple if it excels in 1 specific format.

If you do more of these, you really need to pick 60 card or commander

bro so loud the magic players sound like they're in another room

Ah yes my favorite colors of magic sun and skull emoji.

Something that was overlooked with smothering tithe is that Magic uses a lot of drawing whereas YuGiOh uses a lot of searching. This means that even if a deck has enchantment removal if it isn't already in hand you may have to draw 10 cards in order to find it whereas in YGO the expectation is that after drawing for turn you simply search up and play your out.

You got Pak where's the second pro ?

@NessOnett8 7 months ago

It always shocks me how YGO players seem to always miss the "just cheat it" line. Since that's like...their whole game.

@eabjj 7 months ago

Tithe is trash in 1v1. Pak is 100% correct.

So they went from "keep in mind commanders the most popular format and the cards balancing is going to largely be based on that" to "20 is your starting life total, what do you think about this 10/10" ?????
