What are your thoughts on the WitchTok drama happening right now?

As an atheist, hearing about this drama is like listening to Star Wars fans argue with Star Trek fans.

"Don't pull the race card"  and then she plays the Neurodivergant card, The Queer card, and The Women card.

"You can't read tarot and be Christian." Um. There is a LONG line of Italian witches who'd like to say something about that...

“You don’t get to play the race card” while ‘playing the gender card’ is…a choice…

"I'm autistic it's just the way I speak" and yet she doesn't use that shitty awful tone in any other videos. I'm so sick of ppl weaponizing autism to excuse bigotry

all because someone stopped reading tarot😭

hi! im a witch, and ive noticed a lot of spiritual psychosis, as well as mass amounts of drama in the community and its really dissapointing.

Being a white woman, talking about colonialism and racism while telling a black person to not pull the race card and preform oppression olympics is actually bat shit insane.

Then proceeds to talk about hoodoo. Girl is actively stealing and appropriating black culture and spitting in their face. The exact same thing colonizers did, she is being a colonizer.

THIS IS WHY I JUST READ BOOKS FOR INFO!! A lot of misinformation is on tiktok anyways 🤷‍♀️

I’m a female POC witch too, ruby is definitely in the wrong. Especially saying he can’t play the race card is very wrong. Truthfully wether you agree with it or not as a white person there is absolutely no scenario where you will ever understand how it is to live as a POC, and have no right to say when they can or cannot use the “card”

A woman having her own opinions was so unfathomable to some people, that they invented a whole new man out of thin air to whom to subjugate her opinions.

the framed photo of “jesus” while she’s berating christianity is wild

The biggest part of being a witch/pagan is researching, constantly learning, and evolving your practice. Sadly, WitchTok makes that super hard. So much misinformation and preaching on there, I'd recommend you buy/borrow books instead. Reminder that your spiritual path is YOUR spiritual path, and nobody can tell you how to practice it.

38:12 not saying she IS racist, but she did voluntarily choose to attack a black gay man out of ALL the people she could've responded to

as a pagan im disappointed in the community for starting pointless drama over peoples PERSONAL CHOICES

not to mention, accusing a black man of threatening/committing sexual violence is the kind of thing historically done to incite a lynch mob. that particular detail turned what was basically a petty drama into something that made me genuinely uneasy and fearful of how things might progress.

29:25 as a black woman that is a witch, was baptized catholic and a hoodoo practitioner… Mary and Alex stitched Charm cause they just wanted to talk down to and “um actually” a black person.

I'm not even gonna lie. If I was in Charm's place, I might've went harder with the insults. Because what do you mean I'm suddenly a genocide apologist for wanting people to mind their business? Ruby literally called him worst names for such a lukewarm take, basically calling him every kind of bigot under the sun based off of nothing but assumptions. Made worst by the fact she used soft therapy talk to do so. Then proceeding to act all "holier than thou" after? Acting like being called a "bitch" and getting a room temperatured threat you'd get in a game lobby is literally the worst thing that could possibly happen to you? No, my temper could never.
With that being said, the best he could've done was just ignore it. Because now this has all blown itself out of proportion and it's abundantly clear that he's gonna be antagonized no matter how he responds.

tbh the further I get into my own spiritual practice the more witchtok icks me out. It’s the same internet drama we’ve seen over and over again in every community, but this time with religion added. I need these people to get outside
