Can we all just mentally thank Theo’s father right now for having HIM even at his age. What a gift he brought to this us, to the world!!!!

"I know I'm not doing good when I start getting real judgemental."

That one hit me hard.

"I wish someone told me to have more pride in my family when I was younger"- The most important quote of this video

I’m 18 and my dad is 70, honestly this made me rethink my whole relationship with my dad and shit theo got me crying

“It was dick city bruh, population: ya boy. But anyway I was ashamed of my father”

This hits my heart..My dad   was born July 26, 1909, My dad was 90 when he passed and I was 30. I was embarrassed of my father also in school. I used to tell everybody that he was my grandfather, I Regret doing that because my dad loved me with all of his heart.

Brother, I know it's been 5 years since this post, but this is still helping people. I am one of those people. Thank you.

Please God give this man a child. It'll all make sense and relieve him of guilt. Theo would be the best father.

imagining a little boy clearing the leaves off the sidewalk so his 70+ yo father could walk is the most wholesome image.

“I was ashamed of my father. And then I just realized that I miss him. And I realized that I judged him”.  Guilty. Right in the feels…..

watching him tell jokes through tears is the rawest, purest form of comedy ive ever seen.

By confesing this lack of honoring him you are also honoring him back now
Be blessed bro

“Resentment is drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.”- Wes Watson

Hey Theo, you were a young kid. Please forgive yourself and embrace the good memories. Your Dad loved you and he would be proud of you today.

Man as a 23 year old with 70+ old parents this hit home so hard, I’ll be sure to honor my parents last living days here thanks theo.

I’m 50 years old and still have a ton of resentment towards my dad. He divorced my mom when I was 10, left my family for another woman. His excuse to me, at 10 years old, was that he was “tired of the regimen” of being a husband and father. Yet he married the woman he had the affair with and raised her two kids. I rarely saw my dad from ages 10-18 and then he just ended any contact with me. I will never understand that behavior. I have two kids and they are my whole world. I could never leave them!!!!! One thing I will say is that my dad’s horrendous behavior made me be a better parent to my kids. Cause I knew exactly what I would NOT do. And it also showed me the immense importance of always being there for them and always expressing my deep love for them. So maybe I should thank my dad? It’s a weird thing, man. Theo, you’re amazing. And I’m so proud of you for being so open and vulnerable with us. ❤

My dad turned 85 this year and I’m 25. He lives a couple states away and watching this makes me want to go visit him and appreciate him even more. Thanks, Theo.

Can I just point out that we’re watching a man actively practicing the methods for therapy and becoming sober? This shows how self questioning, self reflection, and putting it down on paper can lead to learning to love yourself and others more fully.
Therapy is so important, and a man or woman should never feel ashamed for pursuing happiness and understanding.
Becoming sober starts with trying to understand yourself.
Thank you to Theo for being this vulnerable.

Comedians are "ironically" some of the deepest people in the world.  And in my opinion, I believe that's because a lot of the humor and imagination are built and trained through times of suffering and overcoming.
