I would like to let it be known that clearing cached ram actually slows down the pc instead of freeing anything and making it faster.. Whenever you open apps or documents, without the cached memory, your pc has to recover that data from the hard drive which takes SIGNIFICANTLY longer than having to recover it from the RAM. Please do not go forward with step 3.. Clearing cached memory is like closing a cap for a water bottle as tight as you can to the point where you struggle everytime you open it every time you want to take a sip.. But with cached memory being there, everything is faster, because the cap is only sitting on the water bottle. It's not tightened, its not even screwed in, allowing you to just lift it up the cap and sip more water almost instantly

I wish more videos were like this that are short and to the point.  Information density is high.

Thought I disabled the Windows Telemetry service a long time ago.  A windows update must've turned it back on.  It's worth re-checking if you think this is an old tip.

These damn tracking services really need to be made unlawful without permission from the users. Hard to believe they are allowed to wedge it into the operating systems. I've gone to Linux for my "Daily Driver" for this reason, but still have to use Windows on occasion. Thanks for the tips, getting this stuff out is very helpful in performance.

the cache rebuilds almost immediately, and will return to the same or close to it with in 5 min

that one is bad advice, dealing with system startups and trash apps and un used services is a much better solution

The RAM cache does not need to be cleaned. This memory is allocated dynamically: as soon as a heavy program (game or video editor) needs RAM, the system will instantly give these gigabytes to its needs. Forcibly clearing the RAM cache will only slow down the PC in the future.
