“The one and done knives are ironically the ones that usually open the flood gates and make you want to buy a bajillion different things” is the truest most eye opening throw back to an almost exact quote I muttered to myself years ago when my knife journey began.

I am currently rotating between the Neeves Offender, Compact Excalibur, and Hawk Talon. Broke the safe queen wall with the talon and it holds up every time I decide to USE it. It's gone through some tough stuff already and still looks great. Got the all TI build with the intention of it being my edc. The talon has probably one of the most satifying deployments of any TOOL ive ever held. Then it started putting in the work that i gave it. American made can still mean something. I haven't looked back. But...the reverse flick deployment-to index finger fidget of the excalibur compact is soooooo fun lol i catch myself flicking both of them in the car when im going places more than any knives ive carried. Solid line up. Use your knives or don't. You are so correct on the joy that comes from USING something designed to be as good as they advertised lol i love the idea of a roofer in backwoods kentucky splurging on a HERMAN to then start prying staples with it. Poetic.

The blade hq exclusive Spyderco Para 3 is my dream knife. My wife and kids might be getting me a Kershaw Bel Air for father’s day tomorrow to start my collection but the Spyderco is a goal for me someday, So sick.

I used my integral Excalibur today to cut up a hotdog to feed to the crows that hang out behind my work… 10/10, great crowfeeder

Love my Signature Series Tanto Hellhound, and a large CR Inkosi is in my cargo pocket right now, with a small sheathed CR Sebenza in my front pocket 😊.

I finally found a replacement for my ZT 0560 Hinderer, and it's a full DLC Excalibur, and it's everything I hoped it would be.

@MrDudestein 3 months ago

I'm predicting that next year's version of this video is going to have the Demko AD22 somewhere on the list.

@michaelsigman8942 3 months ago

Love that the spyderco is a button lock with no spring to replace.

@franksalem8580 3 months ago

Enjoyed the video especially the comments about the Chris Reeve knife.

Just so everyone knows. The DLT trading exclusive green grivory and dlc aus10a bladed AD20.5 is $89.99 and has been for over a year. Most other places have their more affordable exclusives either in steels like aus10a, d2, or k110 are all $149-$159 so DLT definitely has the abs6best deal and totally worth it when it's under $100

As an EDC I always kept coming back to my full TI shark cub slicer…until the Excalibur! It has quickly become the knife that is in my pocket the most. I got the basic orange peel because in the preliminaries you said ultimately you wanted it to be a tool. So I stayed away from shiny finishes and I do use it, and I’m not afraid to use it. Awesome job designing this one!
