Do you agree that the hesitation cost them the race, or was it simply a masterclass in 'TT mode' by the winner? 👇

No radios, it really does make a difference, it makes the racing better and riders have to make decisions instead of someone with a lap top telling them when to attack etc.

Jorgenson deserves at least one stripe of that rainbow jersey. Incredible work.

Totally agree that it was one of the most enthralling races I’ve ever seen. I am a 73 year “fangirl “ living in Sydney. The programme started streaming here at 10.50pm. I assumed I would watch a couple of hours, go to bed, and then watch the remainder in the morning, as I generally do with long races. Well 6 hrs and 17 minutes later I was still on my couch; I had pulled an all-nighter and had never once dozed off for as much a second. Well done to the US team - they played a blinder! Well done especially to Bling who has bounced back from such terrible adversity to get his 2nd silver in a Worlds. And really well done to those 50 or so riders who finished this gruelling race and made it into such a magnificent spectacle. Definitely 10/10

"He was part of an incredibly strong and cohesive US Team"...... as and American, I can say it's been a long time since we've heard those words.

I'm from Montreal. I was there. It was an amazing race and a fantastic atmosphere with thousands of fans.👍

I love watching Tadej Pogačar race -I'm definitely a fan of his. But yesterday was probably one of the best races I've seen in the last 10-15 years. This is what you get when Pogi isn't racing. His bad luck gave us this extremely fantastic race. (Still a huge Pogi fan) Also big applause for Montreal's 550,000 fans. It was an absolutely incredible atmosphere.

Congrats to Brandon McNulty, superb race, great tatics from the americans.

so sad that Pogi was hurt, but BOY WAS THAT FUN WITHOUT HIM!

Montréal did one hell of a job and we are very proud. And yes, the hesitation did cause their loss.

First time watching a race in person and it was amazing

Well done Brandon Mcnulty!
But Michael Matthews- another second place 😩
What a super competitive Worlds w/o Poggy

That was one of the best road world championship races I have ever seen. I think the fact that top classics riders, grand tour GC contenders, and climbing specialists were all in the mix at the end says that race and course were near perfect. And the race was won by a great all-around rider who doesn't specialize in anything. :)

It was an amazing race. Incredibly entertaining! I loved how shocked McNulty was as he crossed the finish line -- it really was a surreal outcome! For top rate teamwork to produce an outcome like that, for a domestique to win, it was like a movie. It was incredibly inspiring.

It was a fantastic week! I’m very proud of my city. Well done everyone! 🙌

Best World Championship race in a long long time. Incredible final 90k. So many plot twists and turns...and so many riders riding themselves into the ground. Everyone really left it out there.

It was a wonderful week of racing here in Montreal. The Men’s race was so exciting. To me, Pidcock had the best legs late in the race, and when they got within 9 seconds at the top of the hill I was sure they’d catch him. But Jorgensen marked him, and he stopped pulling. Great piece of team tactics. Cheers Brandon!

Well, no matter how you look at it, there were 3 US riders in the finale. That’s a testament in itself. The fact that they rode their hearts out and backed one another is more impressive than any big name rolling off the front and crushing it. This is where you really see the soul of sport and teamwork.

As a ex-racer (1970's) from the USA, I say that was a great race! What a wonderful win by deserving Brandon. I'm very proud of all of the US riders. Hats off to ALL of the riders in that hard tactical race. I had tears in my eyes several times seeing the efforts being put out by an amazing cross-section of riders, especially over the last 100 k.
