"When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression." That is the truest thing I have ever heard.

You know, you really can’t reason with these men when they’re being so emotional

0:33  yeah, because there’s no podcasts of men complaining about women, oh wait….

“When you’re privileged, equality sounds like oppression” I’ve never heard it said in a better way

“it felt like a one hour podcast of women complaining about men”

meanwhile alpha male podcasts:

I remember being a kid and other boys would complain about Barbies, making fun of them and Kens. Now I am 33 and the same boys who are now grown men, some married and being fathers, complaining about Barbie. Time does not fix many things.

I remember having a little Barbie clothing suitcase, dressing up my Barbie’s and then putting them in ghetto fights, divorces, and CPS cases 💀

19:57 the 19th amendment was passed because a MOTHER of one of the men that did not pass the bill/law told him too, and HE LISTENED TO HIS MOTHER!! it was technically a WOMEN who passed it, not a man

Thank you for saying “Barbie’s feminism may seem hacky to us third wave feminists … but for many women sitting in theatres across the globe, they are hearing the patriarchy explained to them for the very first time. And for now, that’s good enough for me.”
You hit the nail on the head. It’s easy to forget not everyone is on the same page as us. (Not just women globally but the hordes of slavering anti-feminist men as well, of course.) I’ll work harder to keep this in mind.

Always thought it was wild that the pregnant Midge doll “promoted teen pregnancy”, but no one batted a single eye at giving little girls baby dolls and referred to them as “young mothers”.

rollerblading barbie is proof barbie can be anything!! a doctor, the president, an astronaut, even a fire hazard !

1:55 you look like the kind of aunt at a family gathering who would internally roast everyone except the kids and would be the one drinking wine every thirty seconds (This is not meant as an insult in any way)

18:43 “The whole cast is just women”

The whole fight between 100s of kens (and 1 Alan ofc): Allow me to introduce myself.

It surprises me how people like Ben shapiro don't get that the movie was about how both kinds of supremacy is wrong, not just feminism that hates on men. We see that the Kens feel unwanted when it's a matriarchy, we also see that the barbies feel sexualised and upset when it's a patriarchy. So they make a balance for both barbies and ken and it did shock me that it flew over people's head when the barbie movie was very direct about it

i find it so funny that ben shapiro burned two barbie dolls and a barbie car, BOTH barbies being brand new, (obviously since they're from the movie,) and then criticized the movie like he hadn't just supported mattel and the whole barbie franchise 💀

10:00 I don't know why but imagining a little boy playing out a vicious war with his toy soldiers and one of them says "will we ever have enough clothes?" is ridiculously hilarious for some reason.

Seeing so many grown men throwing a tantrum over a doll movie is one of the most depressing and hilarious things ever. The future is here and it’s stupid.

It's a lot funnier when you realize Ben is a failed screenwriter

It is WILD how much people really hated the fact that Barbie had a movie about Barbie and not a Barbie movie about Ken.

Edit: For those saying that ken had his own plot line in the movie, I’m not saying the movie forgot about him or anything. I’m just saying some people wanted it to be more about him, and not who the darn movie was named after. Even though the movie had it perfectly split between the both.

Great video Funky Frog.

6:07 HES EVERYWHERE, HE DOESNT GO AWAY. Ever since i started studying psychology hes everywhere....in everything, i cant escape him....and his creepy theories.
