Revolver is their masterpiece. I love that George gets the opening track.

Tomorrow never knows is still fresh as a spring daisy — it still sounds like the future. And it”s creation is certainly a milestone in Recording music. By the way, this song also demonstrates the genius of George Martin. Why? Well if George wasn’t particularly impressed with the way that John described his song, he made no attempt to kill it. He produced and he let the Beatles write. He stayed in his lane and simply accepted the challenge to make the greatest record possible. He had a wealth of knowledge that the Beatles were happy to use to make great records. How lucky we all are that we can listen to such wonderful music!

Geoff Emerick is a more important character to the Beatles than i realize

It certainly speaks volumes that 60 years later there's still quite a bit of interest to know the tiny details of how The Beatles came up with their songs and recorded them

Revolver is truly their masterpiece, as long as we're talking about the 14 track UK original on Parlophone and not the crappy butchered American version with 3 John Lennon songs deleted. The reason it took so long for Revolver to get the same critical respect as Sgt Pepper was because too many Americans were unaware of the UK masterpiece. Once I discovered the UK Revolver, I never ever listened to the cutup capitol abomination again...

One of my favorite moments of the Mad Men series was when Megan brings Don Draper the Revolver album and plays Tomorrow Never Knows for him. It marked a significant change in our culture that was passing Don by. I can't imagine how radical hearing Revolver was in 1966, but you knew the world had changed, and it would never be the same.

My Favorite Beatles Album

My favorite Beatles album.

I love Revolver. My favorite Beatles record.

Holy shit, I've never been this early to a video, but I'm so glad I was looking for a video to listen to while I drive

"And Your Bird Can Sing" is The Beatles most underrated album cut

It has 2 of, IMO, what are among Paul’s best ever songs: Here, There & Everywhere and For No One.

That right there is enough for me.

When I discovered that the solo for Taxman was played by Paul, I was surprised, but not in a bad way.

I woke up thinking about how much I wanted this new video, love u man.

The psychedelic aspects of Revolver are not just sprinkled on as a flavor, but rather serve as an essential and integral part of the fabric of each song from the rhythm section parts to the sweeteners atop the body of the compositions. Not only as a stylistic consideration, but also as a musical prism into which all things emanating from outside the world of psychedelia were channeled. There is a glossy psychedelic sheen to the entire LP.

This is a most entertaining and inciteful retelling of the moments in time when the Beatles shed any need or expectation for conformity. There was no turning back. Great work to any and all involved here. Knowing what's coming next does indeed raise the anticipation meter. Can't wait!  Cheers, RNB 🍻

the one we’ve all been waiting for! Thank you so much!!! ❤

An engineer friend of mine used to work at one of the major NYC studios, A&R i think. He mentioned once that after McCartney had booked out the studio for a few days, they had to go over the corner of the mixing desk with a tweezers to remove small fragments of pot. There had obviously been quite a bit of rolling, as well as rocking. So yes, a man who loved his smokies. 😂

Something I think that's worthy of realizing about Revolver (And Rubber Soul) is that when they were working on both of those Albums they must have, well actually had to have been constantly concerned with the question of "How far do we go with the Studio ideas and inventing because we will have to figure out how to reproduce these songs Live in concert?? You can't do backwards stuff live or slowing or speeding of sounds live either. So I must have been a real nagging thought that either they were not going to play them live or when they did they would have to do the songs with a stripped down version. They certainly had not decided to stop touring at that time. The money was too great and they still wanted to show what they could do live if only they could be heard over the mania of the fans.
