"What You're Doing" has always been one of my favorite Beatles' deep cuts. The song deserves more praise.

And through all of this, the Beatles are only keeping 7% of their own proceeds, and having to tour for six months just to pay back their advances, while the record company sits back and rakes the rest in.

" Baby's in Black " was the best harmonization they ever did ! The bridge was incredible ! " Oh how long will it take " !

No matter what people think of this album - it includes three of John’s greatest compositions: No Reply, I’m A Loser and Baby’s in Black

No Reply is one of my favorite album openers and I'll Follow the Sun is a favorite of mine.

George’s “acorn” haircut on the cover is classic.

The album cover is one of their best.

Every Little Thing is a real gem. One of my favs.

Their work ethic was outstanding.

‘Baby’s in Black’ has the same magical John/Paul harmony that ‘I Don’t Want To Spoil the Party’  has.

One of the most relatable and endearing qualities of so many Beatles tracks was all the multitude of personal idiosyncrasies that were allowed to remain such as coughs, count ins, chuckles etc.  "Taxman" comes to mind.
Perfectly imperfect.

This is definitely the best Beatles for Sale youtube documentary. Thank you

One of my very favorites albums ever. Gems galore. If this is their worst, they were truly the greatest recording artists of all time (they were in any case).

I absolutely do not understand the controversy of this album. The tracks are super. No reply. I'm a loser. 8 days a week. Baby's in black. The best version of Rock and Roll music ever recorded. Scorching. A concert favorite. Words of Love. I mean, those are all winners. What am I missing? Let me see. Oh...I don't want to spoil the party. Every little thing. I mean, as concerns ringo's songs, I think Honey dont is just the best. ( I do not care if some are covers. Means nothing to me. )

I think this a totally underrated Beatles album. I love listening to it.

"Im A Loser" is the best song on the album.  "John's first introspective song.  Every Little Thing" is gem written by Paul.  "No Reply" is another great John song.

Brilliant album cant understand why people put it down full of brilliant tracks

My friend can relate to Pauls 7 levels, he had to write an essay for English degree and couldn't think if a thing to write.  After saying this to beatnick friend he suggested he try this, a little LSD.  It worked words flew off the pen, he said he thought he'd written the greatest essay ever.  And went to bed thinking that, woke up thinking that, handled it in thinking that.  Next day his tutor at the lecture simply said "Mark, I want you to come up and read your essay to the whole class"!  He genuinely went up there thinking, this man can spot genius went he sees it.  He read out the first two words and said "Ah"!  Its was three pages of complete and total twaddle, not one coherent sentence.  His tutor knew what happened, but to this day he still remembers that feeling of genius

For all of the pressure EMI put on the Beatles to make this album for the holiday season, I dare anyone to find a band or artist that was overworked and was able to produce bangers. The original songs might have gone unnoticed at the time of their release, but they’ve become great songs with age. Even the cover songs are great. This is one of the reasons why this band is so highly regarded because the songs and albums they produced in so little time will never be replicated. In a span of eight years, they recorded over 10 albums and more than 200 songs. Many of these songs have become unforgettable hits. Nowadays, artists work on an album and it takes them a year. Then, it takes more time to get a second album out of them let alone a single. With the Beatles, I sometimes forget that Help!, Rubber Soul, and Revolver all came out within a span of one year, 1965-66. Not to mention the singles in the Past Masters double album that could’ve populated another three albums if not more. You include Harrison’s All Things Must Pass, and the wealth of songs grows more.

I remember playing Beatles 65 for the first time on my grandmother's record player, Christmas Day; I'd just opened it, a gift, I think from my parents, maybe my grandmother.  All dearly missed--the Beatles included.
