Happy Valentine's Day! This is something I put together for fun, so let's try to avoid any waifu/shipping wars.

I love Rivet as her own character, not as a love interest for Ratchet. I want them to continue using her as a playable character in the series going forward, but I hope they'll make future games longer so we can get more of each.

the little drawings of the characters during the rating screens are super adorable

I think fans ship Rivet because they want to see more of her. They don't really care what Ratchet thinks. Also Lombax babies.

I was so caught off guard when they set up Angela to be Rachet's love interest by the end of Going Commando, only to have her flat out vanish in the next game Up Your Arsenal and pretty much the rest of the series going forward.

In a way, I kind of blame the rushed development of Going Commando for why this happened. While the gameplay itself came out fantastic despite the short development period, the story itself feels muddled and hastily thrown together, which I feel explains the random love interest with Angela and the fact that Qwark shows up out of nowhere at the very end of the game with very little build-up. I've heard from sources that the franchise really didn't have a team of dedicated writers until Up Your Arsenal.

I feel the big reason Rivet is so popular a ship, besides having a good design, is she is someone who is stands as Ratchet's equal. She's a Lombax that is just as good as Ratchet in combat and battle.

Talwyn in contrast has major F.R.I. energy (forced romantic interest). She seemingly just exists as a love interest for Ratchet.

Also, the story of the Future Series is rather divisive in general. With none of the characters introduced being as well remembered as the original series, save Alister.

Rule 34 artist: why don't they share him

I agree.  I always knew Rivet was just an alternate version of Ratchet, and the narcissist of the franchise is Quark.  Talwyn and Sasha are the only female characters that had actual chemistry with Ratchet, so they’re the only ones that can be love interests.

I think Angila is a lombax, who lost her tail in an acident. The reason she's clumsy is because she used it for ballance.

I think Tawylon  is ratchets best love interest

The fact Sasha kissed Ratchet twice, made me  think she was his main love love interest until she disappears in future games.
Talwyn though is clearly Ratchet's "wifey"😊

Funny enough, until date Talwynn was the love interest who appeared more than other girls in the series, as with many games as soon as the new one came up, the love interest simply banished. That alone shows that the team were dead centered on making Talwynn official... If it weren't for the "Future Saga" of the franchise not being so well received, since it was in the series in which Ratchet became a one-dimensinal boy-scout and of course the "choose one".

Also funny detail, as for Angela she was confirmed to be a lombax in a "Crack in Time" as the news says that female Lombaxes don't have any tails (a detail later reconned with Rivet's introduction).

Still it is clear that Talwynn was meant to be the full cannon love interest. As for Rivet it does feel more like a brother/sister relationship as their chemistry didn't went beyond that in Rifts Apart.

Speaking personally I kinda liked Captain Sasha simply because I thought she had some of the better bits of characterization personally.

Rivet is honestly my favorite. Having watched the cutscenes from their game, I loved the chemistry they had. You could definitley tell there was something there.

To be fair, Rivet's only been in one game (at the time of this comment). Who knows? Maybe the next game she's in will deepen her dynamic with Ratchet.

I'll say that that Rivet is the best love interest for Ratchet with Talwyn a close second.

I have always loved Sasha x Ratchet 🥹💕✨

Those little illustrations are just adorable

I’m just gonna say this.
Sasha should’ve been in the Ratchet & Clank movie!

It has the Galactic Rangers & the President appears (Only as a still image at the start of the film and they used his PS2 render).

We could’ve seen Sasha in modern day!

The various drawings of each girl in-between sections are just extremely adorable and precious, I'm such a sucker for artwork like that.~ Great video!
