Can we have Steve Judd back now that the finally dropped a new album??

this guy is 40?!? I need to drink more coffee

Holy vegemite, that guy is a rare treat

Bring him back, Craig! They finished the album!

Never seen the pod before but big Karnivool fan and came here from the instagram post. So cool to hear such a long conversation with this absolute legend I've admired for so long! Thanks for that! Please interview the rest of the band members if you can 😊

Sound Awake is one of the best albums ever recorded!

Random fact about Steve Judd: his wallet is approximately 4 inches thick! Not that it’s loaded with cash per se, but like he probably has 15 cards that expired ages ago and never got around to tossing them when the new ones came in, and every receipt he’s ever gotten.

Quick slightly embarrassing story. I went to see Karnivool in around 2009 and they played at a Chicago suburb. I was at the bar before the show and noticed the guy next to me had his wallet on the bar with his back turned to it. I stepped around more in front of him and said “hey, I’m sorry to bother you, but is that your wallet? I’m afraid someone’s going to walk off with it.” To which he said “oh, yeah thanks” with an Aussie accent. I didn’t realize until he went on stage that I had just talked to my all-time favorite drummer. I would have told him  he’s awesome. Instead just I said hey dumbass, don’t leave your wallet on the bar, idiot.

Oh shit! This is lit! We need more Steve Judd in the world! HELLA EXCITING!

Dude (Steve) I've seen you play so many times and you are the most impressive drummer I've seen next to Danny Carey... So much respect. Legendary.

WOOOOOW. Mario and now Steve. Unbelievable 🔥

For a drummer who always looks so serious when he's playing he's so chilled and friendly haha

Steve is the best sounding drummer I have ever seen. It was always confirmed, when I had a chance to see Karnivool in Europe.

What a treat. Its really hard to find any footage on this guy. His very syncopated style is super unique. Video would be even better if there where chapter descriptions.

I've always loved Steve's drumming and so this is really great to hear him speak and get some insight into things. I don't think he's really done any interviews? Just wish there was more high quality footage of him doing his thing or doing some playthroughs. I also get the sense from this interview with Steve and probably from the rest of the band from Karnivool that they're not particularly outwardly self-promoting.

Brody Simpson is criminally underrated.

Holy shit never thought I’d hear anyone shout out Fair to Midland. They were local to me and my mom showed me them. Wish they were still around

i'm hyped for the new album

Loooong time vool fan, first time viewer here, and instant subscriber. Great interview.

Long time Karnivool fan, first time podcast viewer. This was just a bloody good time, thank you!

Steve is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
