Jeremy reviews the new Audi R8 supercar and claims it to be one of the best supercars in the world - only to be interrupted by a competitive Richard Hammond in a Porsche 911. Which one is better - the Porsche 911 or the Audi R8? The only way to settle this argument is through a Top Gear special drag race!

For Audi's first attempt at a supercar they did an awesome job.

"oh look, hammond appears to have joined us in his Volkswagen Beetle" best thing I've heard all day

4:12 that drift must be one of the most epic things I've ever seen. The whole composition with the R8 in front and everything is just perfect.

I don't know what Jeremy was talking about.
That Audi still looks stunning in 2021...

I'm still amazed by how well the R8 aged. It still looks great, 11 years later.

That scene at 4:13 is probably my favourite shot from all of Top Gear.

I may well be a Porsche fan, but my God the first gen R8 still does look good to this day.

I think the Audi R8 looks better than most exotic cars out there..

"rubbish, I'll show you stunning"

Drifted across the camera frame.

I thin the headlamps are the sexiest aspect of the R8 .

The old R8 is still the best looking car Audi has ever made.

“Why is there smoke coming out of your Audi, Clarkson?”
“That isn’t smoke, it’s steam. Steam from the Audi V10 I’m driving.”

The video editing of BBC Top Gear is like a classic car. Even to this day is a joy to watch and you can learn from it. Timeless art.

The R8 is my favorite supercar of all time.
The intake on the side, the LEDs on the headlights, the spartan interior, and Audi's awesome 4 wheel drive system.
