Thanks for the shout-out — I’m not the first professor working on AP (I am proud to share that), and we’ve traced AP back a lot further, even beyond AcqInc! — Em Friedman

As someone who attended that Madison Square Garden show, I can confirm the staff was very bewildered by us lmao

I am happy Brennan called it out off the top. As an OG ttrpg player, hearing someone call it coolest anything is a serious shift in perception. Mfs got bullied for it, hard. Now it is approaching cool. Theater kids and D&D nerds running things all of sudden is wild and refreshing.

You know I'm a Mullifan because I will GET IN THE COMMENTS.

His story about the cops is so funny to me. I got pulled over for having both expired tabs and a brake light out with my buddy in the passenger seat. He came up with a very aggressive cop attitude and asked where we were going. My buddy had a huuuuge stack of 3.5 books in his lap because we were on our way to play DnD, and that's what I told him. He looked at the books, looked back at us, and said "get those things fixed, have a nice day" And that's how DnD got me out of a ticket 😂

39:44 Wayne says it perfectly earlier too: "pure play" is a language we all are fluent in and can utilize infinitely, without restriction. Unfortunately, we live in a culture that tries to pound that out of us, especially men at the hands of the patriarchy. In order to trap us, they have to make us think we can't be silly or we can't be tough if we aren't in touch with our playful or emotional side. The damage that inflicts upon the soul does the rest of the agenda for them. I am so so grateful for the revolution of DND in this modern era, I genuinely think it is a tool to save us all. Sorry to get a lil preachy but as a man the idea of being allowed to play socially was so freeing for me to realize.

BLeeM: "this is going to be a hot take". Proceeds to spit the truest of the facts existent in the D&D verse.

Now I want a D20 season that's the Who's Line Guys. Wayne would be a Bard with exes in literally every town the party visits. Ryan would be an Astral Path Monk with his crazy long frame. Colin would be a Paladin with super high charisma who makes everyone else laugh by accident but never laughs himself. Who should be the fourth player.......

Next Dimension 20 one shot "Whose Roll is it Anyway"

@KBRoller 1 year ago

"Scenes from the Dice: An actual play with the cast of Whose Line" would be amazing. We need this. I don't even care who DMs, we need this. And why do I feel like Aisha Tyler would be 100% down for it immediately, schedule allowing? Colin and Ryan... may need some convincing 😂
