Parental divorce is most often associated with the separation of two adults. But what happens when a child becomes a "treasure" in a fight to win a court case? In this episode, Julia honestly talks about her diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder and how being raised in an atmosphere of conflict, idealization, and insincere adoration from her parents affected her personality development.
-----------
The film is educational in nature. Educational in this sense means presenting a clinical case and a frank conversation about the experiences of someone living with a given disorder. Each person featured in the podcast is required to present their medical history, particularly information regarding their diagnosis by a specialist. The content is moderated on an ongoing basis by a psychologist present on set, and the final version of the material is edited to minimize the risk of potential harm to the interviewee, avoid taking statements out of context, and present their story in a reliable and responsible manner.
Ultimately, each clinical case remains the individual's experience and may differ from the experiences of others with a similar diagnosis.
