Although we announced returning dates for uploading our videos, something possibly huge came up! Just over an hour ago Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night had a livestream on Instagram (without picture), where Blackmore himself announced that he will join Deep Purple during the encore when Purple play their show near his current home at the Long Island in the state of New York. Deep Purple are set to perform a double bill with Kansas at the Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh. So are we witnessing the unthinkable or is this all a big prank from the man in black, we will see tonight !

You can hear him speak about the show at

00:08:40 and 00:31:44

This should be broadcast worldwide; all of us who love Deep Purple have a right to be there. This reunion restores a little of my faith that world peace is still possible.

Blackmore and unique sense of humor. 81 years old, weaker voice, but very sharp mind. You're the very best guitar player of all times.

Even if Richie wasn't able to play a note it would be nice to see him up on stage with his band again, you have absolutely nothing to prove Richie, as you wrote and recorded the best rock guitar parts ever recorded in the history of this music.

I was born in 74 in Norway. My father always talked about Purple and how magical they were. When they returned in 84 I was over the moon. I have dreamed of seeing Ritchie playing with Purple just one more time and it seems its happening. I can`t believe how much this moves me

The greatest, most melodic, and gifted guitarist and musician in rock history. You are loved, Ritchie. Thank you for getting us through a lot of difficult days and times with your creations.

Candice Knight is Blackmores Angel! Definitely the best thing that bought Ritchie back from the Dark and into the light.

It was wonderful to see Ritchie play with Deep Purple on stage again. It brought tears to my eyes, as it did to many others. Thank you, Ritchie, Candice, Ian G., Ian P., Roger, Simon, and everyone involved, for making it happen.
