As we finally approached the area around Mount Iwaki and continued further inland, we came across a traditional hot spring inn nestled in a seemingly forgotten rural landscape.
The variety of baths was surprising, from beautiful sulfur springs to alkaline baths that felt wonderfully soothing on the skin.
After visiting several hot springs, we headed northeast towards Oma.
Disliking the rocking motion of boats, we took the shortest route from Oma to Hakodate (Tsugaru Strait Ferry) to finally land in Hokkaido...
