They should start tracking down other characters in the story line- Merlin in particular is one that has always interested me.

If memory serves me correct, Arthur was severly ingered duringnthat battle. He was taken to a church for nuns. Whi l e in his room before he passed, he had his trusted servant shoot an arrow out the window and said where the arrow landed, he would be buried. This is why they can't find him because no one knows the direction the arrow was shot or how far it flew into the woods.

The music is highly irritating, monks were known to make relics all the time for money as the churches are greedy power hungry tyrants. Looking for Arthur's tomb is like Looking for bikini bottom & sponge bob 😂

Maybe they should fine Queen Marche and her husband Sir Lancelot in the Brittany part or France around the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D. .

The legends come from only 1 place. Questenburg, Germany. Look there if you want to know more.

Most of what people think is "fact" is pure fiction. It comes from Le Morte d'Arthur, which was written by the English writer Sir Thomas Malory. Completed around 1470 while he was in prison, it was compiled and translated from French romances and first published by William Caxton in 1485. It was very popular.
Historically he is mentioned by the monk Nennius in Historia Brittonum. He names Arthur as a dux bellorum (war leader) who fought alongside British kings against Saxon invaders in 12 battles, notably the Battle of Mount Badon. Lancelot and everything else is pure fiction mixed in from other legends and fiction. It makes for a wonderful story though. There may have been a great war leader that held back the Saxon invaders for a time, but Merlin, Holy Grail? No.
Maybe the original legend persisted was the same as Robin Hood was a symbol of Saxon resistance against the Normans. Arthur was the Welsh (British) resistance against the Saxons.

No mention of why the monks conveniently discovered the alleged remains of Arthur and Guinever.
It was an Anglo Norman / English coup , political theatre to quell the Welsh myth that Arthur was sleeping in a cave - waking in the time of Wales's salvation against the Saxons ( English) domination.

no matter how much henry the eighth wanted to abolish the old church , set up a new church of england , and steal all the wealth from the monasteries .... his elder brother who had died tragically before his time , and who caused henry to have have to take on his wife catherine of aragon , was called arthur in honour of the famous historic king ...if there had been so much as a toothpick that even might have belonged to king arthur he would have ensured it was looked after /didn't go missing/ and was brought to him as a personal souvenir
