So they said! It makes sense that Henry II had 2 people buried at Glastonbury Abbey, paying the Abbot and keeping it very secret from everyone else, including the other monks. Unfortunately,  Henry had already died by the time it was arranged for the couple to be exhumed.  But it did make the Abbey a lot of money. But it also begs the question, who were this couple? Nowadays we have DNA and other scientific methods to do research, but the answers seem to dissolve in the wind like the lock of golden hair the monk picked up. I believe the real Arthur was Owein Dantgwyn, a Prince of Powys, who lived around 500AD. His father was called Ythr (Uther), he was a member of the family of Cunedda, the leader of a tribe from Scotland who took over large parts of Wales, he had problems with his nephew Maelgwn of Gwynedd who usurped his kingdom after his death and killed most of his family. As for the rest of the story, we don't really know.  But as for Arthur becoming English, there wasn't an England in his day, England didn't begin until the 930s under Athelstan.  Arthurian references can be found all over Britain,  and as the English have been found to be 30-40% Ancient British,  I think it's fair to say that he belongs to all of us.

I’ve spent years chasing answers in documentaries, podcasts, even ancient texts—and none of it hit me the way The Obscured Principles book by Dorian Caine did. It’s like it was written for the few who are ready to break the illusion and remember who they really are.

My theory on Dragons.  We dig up dinosaur bones and presumably ancient people did so too.  Imagine if they assembled skeletons from these collections of bones.  Naturally, you get "Dragons" and other mythological creatures.  If one is a great warrior, find an ancient skull and claim you slew it in battle, who would argue with a deadly warrior.

They may take our land but they will never take our freedom ❤Destiny ❤

Really great. Wonderfully crafted and presented.
Nice one Matt and team! ✨🌟👍

Thank you, Dear.

Arthur is a placename. Aith means bear and thir / tir is land. It also can be used for Aithkar meaning bears fort and its in Strathclyde. Its about 2 miles from Cameluk which gets corupted to Camelot by Chrestien de Troyes. Originally CampusMaelok lands of Maelok prince of Strathclyde, shortened to Cameluk by Edward 1st. Before Maelok it was the chapels of Aaron and Julius the roman. This location is 2 miles from Avon river, Avalon. Also about 15 miles from the start of Arthurs battles but most are in this location.

The “blank cheque” the presenter mentions that the relic of Arthur might have given the monks at Glastonbury turned out to not at all be something that gave them the money they wanted. Abbey records show no great flow of pilgrims to Glastonbury at all.

cool

This documentary is very good, but it doesn't quote the most important text that can be found in Geoffrey of Monmouth's famous book (Chapter VI), which provides us with the key to knowing who the historical Arthur was:
“And Arthur himself, that famous king, was mortally wounded, and as he was taken from there to the Isle of Avalon to heal his wounds, he yielded the crown of Britain to his cousin Constantine, son of Cador, Duke of Cornubia, in the year 542 of the Lord's Incarnation.”

King Custenin or Constantine was undoubtedly a historical figure, mentioned by Gildas in the work he wrote in the same sixth century, although he was not actually king of all Britain but of the southwestern region called Dumnonia, at whose western end lay Cornwall or “Cornubia,” and on whose eastern border stood the legendary Camelot (a fortress from that same period located in present-day South Cadbury). In a later medieval text, on the life of Saint Carannog, it is said that Cador and Arthur ruled together in a region near the mouth of the River Severn, and this region is precisely the ancient British kingdom of Dumnonia. King Cado (or “Cador”) must also have been a historical figure, father of Custenin, and that is why the name Cadbury means “fortress of Cado”.
The historical Arthur was therefore born at the end of the fifth century and lived during the first decades of the sixth century. He was the nephew of King Cado of Dumnonia and the cousin of King Custenin of Dumnonia, so he was probably not a king in the strict sense, but rather a “dux bellorum” (or war chieftain), as indicated in the “Historia Brittonum” written by Nennius in the ninth century. He was something like the king’s “right-hand man” in ancient Dumnonia, and he surely achieved great prestige and power in Britain through his victories on the battlefield.

What is less acceptable, however, is that Arthur was the nephew of Ambrosius Aurelianus (as Monmouth also states) since the latter must have been born about 50 years before Arthur. At best, Ambrosius Aurelianus (another historical figure mentioned by Gildas in the sixth century) could have been Arthur's great-uncle, rather than his uncle.

Best regards.

Why would he give away the sword? What? Maybe for his sister

For the true history read Alan Wilson and baron blackett books. The old Welsh books hold the truth.

I wish William would use Arthur as his coronation name instead of William V

Why does Matt Lewis sound like AI when it cuts to his parts?

Arthur was a Welsh King , and there were more than One🐲🐉

Arthur burned the round table after 2 weeks of its creation by his wife
He felt it excluded his warriors all of which were treated as equals
And he burned it
The round was created by Arthur's wife as a gift for killing all the Romans ,she had it made for him.
She got angry when he burned
He said sorry and explained why he burned it.
She made Arthur feel bad even when he explained that he was excluding his other men who he saw as equals
She still made Arthur feel bad and walked off , he lost respect for her that day , and he realised something bad broken between them
She was power hungry and an exalter who left others out and belittled them
She was deviding his men through the round table and he was told this by Merlin his trusted psychic .
