Gotta love how everyone is trying to dissect II's brain 😂

I absolutely love the syncopation in this one. It’s meant to throw you off balance, but is so very true to the nature of the song. Also kind of gives it a bit more of a sensual quality - like, if you’re moving to the song, it allows for a bit more fluidity of movement than just straight 4/4 beats.

I always laugh and happy when they looks confused with that beat😂😂

It's amazing how something so simple can create such a huge disruption your brain.

The first time I heard it, my head exploded. After I gathered the pieces and hastily reassembled them, I tried counting it out. As a musician with TONS of experience, it took me some time to wrap my head around it. Much longer than it should have.

I happily spent yesterday jamming this song with my brain playback machine all day.

I hope that this song wins some hefty awards.

I remember hearing this the first go. Biggest stank face followed by me yelling at my phone "WHAAATWASTHAAAAT?!?!" Then immediately backtracking and listening to it 75 times.

Hang on to Vessel's vocals for dear life and your brain will adjust. I hated this at first, but its so fucking sick.

😀some of y’all didn’t grow up trying to play air drums along with Rush songs and it shows. 😄

It was hilarious to me when I started seeing reactors so thrown off by a slight syncopation! 30+ years of listening to Tool trained my ears, I guess. I didn’t even notice at first, but picked up the delay immediately. 90% of music being standard 4/4 is to blame!
