Dude, your channel has been really hitting its stride the last year or so.   These “simple” fix type repairs really appeal to the everyday car guy.   Glad the gimmicks are gone!

Can never really "fix" a Range Rover. Just like you can't fix stupid. Sam isn't stupid, however, buying new Range Rovers sure ain't smart. I like how he does it.

I knew it!! Also it’s super weird to me seeing an L494 without a digital dash as that was always standard on UK spec cars. Unusual to see a diesel one in the US too I would guess.

I work at Rover for 2 years now you should check behind the engine were the intake meet to the box , you should check to the plástic hoses to make sure they won’t pop off , clear codes and rescan and check the coolant lines as seals tend to crack open 😊

I endured two years of abject misery when we moved to the UK in 2021 and I decided to buy a 2017 RR Sport (L494) like this one with the 3.0L diesel engine.  It took it exactly two weeks to start having problems.  I too had to replace the throttle body (which was on backorder at the time, and very much not inexpensive.)  My issue was that the plastic throttle plate had swollen and I was getting a turbo overboost error.  This, for some reason, caused the DPF to clog which required flushing the DPF with a special cleaner that you injected through the pressure sensor port.  I did this about 5 times before I found the issue with the throttle and finally got one delivered.  Then I had the MAF issues but mine was related to a leaking oil separator which I diagnosed with at smoke machine.  Then it was an O2 sensor, and finally a failed ECU from water somehow leaking into the ECU box.  I never enjoyed more than 2 weeks in the 2 years we lived in the UK with the Range Rover actually working properly without a CE light.  Which is a shame because driving it through the Chunnel over to France and through Normandy or over to Belgium for a long weekend was really great.  You don't have to wonder why they are so unreliable, since FoMoCo is printed on all the parts...
